Director, OT Security and Infrastructure

We are seeking a strategic Operational Technology(OT) Cyber Security Director who brings strong team leadership capabilities, organizational management of daily OT security operations activities for Colgate-Palmolive manufacturing plants, and strategic planning for the globally distributed manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will provide direction in the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust cyber security solutions for our manufacturing operations, ensuring the integrity and availability of our OT systems while fostering a high-performing team environment interacting closely with the company’s Global Supply Chain organization.

As a key leader within the Global Information Security program, this position will drive collaboration and communication between Supply Chain, Plant Systems, and other IT teams. You will be responsible for managing team performance, resource prioritization allocation, and budget planning to align with global security objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Operational Technology cyber security team, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
  • Focuses on enterprise risk management and advise on audit findings associated with the manufacturing environment
  • Manage team performance, resource allocation, budget planning and project prioritization to ensure timely delivery of security initiatives.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of comprehensive OT security strategies, policies, and architectures across the global distributed manufacturing environment.
  • Educate Global Supply Chain and other IT organizations on cyber security best practices for manufacturing and how this mission is critical to protecting our company’s manufacturing operations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the OT Security platforms (for example: Claroty, Dragos, Armis, Nozomi, Palo Alto Networks) utilized in Colgate-Palmolive’s manufacturing environment.
  • Provide technical support and solution consulting for the Global Supply Chain organization, enabling their organization to follow security and operational industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with in-house Security Operations Center to enhance threat detection capabilities for Colgate-Palmolive’s manufacturing plants.
  • Participate in investigations to determine the root cause of OT related security incidents.
  • Provide research, evaluation, Proof-of-Concept technology testing, project planning, and implementation support for platform changes across all global manufacturing sites.
  • Direct the compliance and licensing of server operating systems, including procurement and growth planning.
  • Oversee disaster recovery and critical system backup strategy, including cloud-based solutions (e.g., Rubrik, CommVault, EON).
  • Direct the compliance and licensing of server operating systems within the global manufacturing landscape.
  • This role plays a critical part of our Cyber Security Tabletop exercises and leads the strategic planning around 3rd party manufacturing partner support and connectivity.
  • Coordinate with IT Site Support teams(server, network and other infrastructure components) to ensure manufacturing issues are resolved in a timely manner and critical IT infrastructure services are available to support the manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in OT security, network security, or industrial control systems.
  • Proven experience in people leadership and team management.
  • Proven track record of working with global and regional Supply Chain counterparts to drive cybersecurity objectives
  • 3+ years of demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex security projects.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity policies and standards relevant to OT, such as NIST 800-82, NIS2, and ISA/IEC 62443.
  • Experience managing the OT asset visibility platform(such as Claroty, Dragos, Armis, and Nozomi) and ability to query the asset repository.
  • Ability to apply cybersecurity knowledge to OT/ICS/SCADA systems to implement new cyber defense and resiliency techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with network segmentation and designing microsegmentation zones to improve manufacturing resiliency.
  • Knowledge or experience with public cloud environments(GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new technologies, tools, internal/external systems, and design frameworks. A strong and broad technology background is highly preferred.
  • Ability to approach challenges with a security mindset. The successful candidate should possess a strong OT background with in-depth knowledge of corporate application access control, network routing, packet analysis, and cyber threat analysis.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact directly with non-security personnel and serve as a cyber security spokesperson throughout the Manufacturing and Supply Chain organizations.
  • Ability to present strategic vision for OT cyber security to senior levels of the organization, such as Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Supply Chain Officer.
  • Awareness of and experience in leveraging industry best practices for network and OT security
  • Knowledge of Virtualization platforms and high level configuration (VMWare, Nutanix)

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $195,000.00 - $230,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
