Job Description

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a strategic, high-impact leader to help shape how performance is driven across a national network. As Director, Operations Strategy & Insights, you will partner closely with executive leadership to unlock growth, improve operational performance, and enable better, faster decision-making.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and operations. You’ll lead enterprise-wide initiatives that improve productivity, optimize cost structures, and elevate performance across practices—translating complex data into clear actions that drive measurable results.

If you’re energized by solving complex problems, influencing senior stakeholders, and delivering meaningful outcomes at scale, this is a unique opportunity to make a visible impact in a fast-growing organization.

Who You Are

  • A strategic thinker with strong analytical depth and a bias for action
  • A trusted advisor who can influence senior leaders through clear, structured insights
  • Highly collaborative, able to lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment
  • Outcome-driven, with a track record of delivering measurable business impact
  • A people leader who develops talent and builds high-performing, accountable teams

You combine consulting-style problem solving with practical execution, and you thrive in environments where pace, complexity, and impact intersect.

The Impact You’ll Have

  • Act as a key partner to the Vice President, Operations Strategy & Insights and broader leadership team
  • Shape enterprise strategy and drive initiatives that improve growth, efficiency, and scalability
  • Influence critical decisions through data-driven insights and structured problem solving
  • Lead cross-functional transformation efforts across Operations, Finance, and field teams
  • Build and scale team capabilities in analytics, strategic thinking, and performance management

This role plays a central role in driving enterprise performance and advancing how decisions are made across the organization.

In This Role, You Will

  • Partner with executive leaders to define and execute enterprise strategy
  • Lead structured analyses to identify growth, margin, and operational improvement opportunities
  • Develop clear, executive-ready recommendations and business cases
  • Diagnose performance gaps across operations and design initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Lead transformation initiatives from strategy through execution, ensuring measurable results
  • Apply forecasting, scenario modeling, and analytics to support planning and investment decisions
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights, clearly articulating risks and trade-offs
  • Lead revenue, capacity, and utilization analysis, connecting operational drivers to labour productivity
  • Partner on workforce planning and economics initiatives to ensure realistic, executable plans
  • Strengthen data quality and reporting integrity by partnering with Data and business teams
  • Define and track KPIs and performance dashboards that enable proactive decision-making
  • Lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Coach and develop team members, building strong analytical and strategic capabilities across the team

This role is four (4) days on-site Monday to Thursday with Friday's work from home.

What You’ll Bring

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (is required)
  • MBA, CPA, or MSc (preferred)

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, analytics, or operations transformation
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with demonstrated business impact
  • Experience in healthcare, retail, or other multi-location operating environments is considered an asset

Capabilities

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including experience working with large datasets
  • Ability to distill complex issues into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Strong communication skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx or similar) and working knowledge of data visualization tools
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, multi-site environment

What You Get & Give

It’s not just industry-leading tech or best-in-class treatments that set us apart (although our people get to do both). Here, real growth opportunities require real commitment. You’ll be challenged to keep levelling up – expanding your skills, learning new things, and pushing the boundaries of what the best in dental can be. In return, you’re backed by a national team that’s as ambitious as you are, and an entrepreneurial culture that values wellbeing as much as new ideas and fast decisions.

This is your chance to experience the future of dentistry, today. Because with a purpose that leads the industry and the network to make it happen – this is where you go further, stay ahead, and grow beyond what you thought possible.

The salary range for this position is $145,000 CAD to $165,000 CAD annually (plus a bonus of up to 20% and competitive total rewards and benefits package) Offers within this range are determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
