What is the opportunity?
The Director, Operations Specialist is responsible for driving continuous improvement in a compliant Fund Administration function.
In this role you will focus on enhancing efficiency, scalability, compliance through process optimization, automation, and the delivery of key strategic initiatives aligned with the organization’s Target Operating Model (TOM).
You will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting the future-state design of Fund Administration. You must have the ability to navigate changing regulatory landscapes, have strong cross functional partnerships within operations and beyond and focused on continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.
What will you do?
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute an operations strategy aligned with organizational goals, focusing on scalability, cost efficiency and risk reduction
Identify and implement emerging technologies (e.g. automation, AI) to optimize processes and enhance decision making and data analytics
Operating Excellence
Drive initiatives to streamline workflows, eliminate redundancies, automate manual processes to improve accuracy and reduce process times
Oversee the end-to-end operations team
Team Development & Culture
Direct organizational change initiatives to adapt to evolving business needs and technological advancements, and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with other departments and third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration of finance operations, to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness
Reporting & Transparency
Provide actionable insights through standardized reporting for senior leadership
Communicate on operational performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to stakeholders
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CPA, CFA, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (MBA or Project Management certification preferred).
13–15 years’ experience in Fund Administration or related operations
Strong understanding of fund structures and security valuation across all asset types, NAV oversight, and financial reporting processes.
Experience leading cross-functional programs and managing change within complex organizations.
Excellent communication and strong vendor and stakeholder management skills
Executive presence and influencing capability; able to drive decisions and accountability
Ability to navigate changing regulatory landscapes and business needs
