Role Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced finance leader to shape the Operations Finance landscape across the Asia region. The Director, Operations Finance – Asia serves as a key business partner enabling operational and financial performance across multiple countries and operational domains. The role requires strong collaboration with regional Operations teams, regional Finance leadership, broader regional leadership groups, global Operations counterparts, and various global functional leaders. The Director brings strategic insight, financial discipline, and operational acumen to support decision-making, investment execution, and scalable process excellence across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with regional Operations leadership as the primary finance counterpart, providing insight, challenge, and actionable guidance to improve operational and financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with regional Finance teams to ensure forecasting, reporting, and financial governance are aligned and consistent across the organization.
  • Engage effectively with regional leadership teams to support cross-functional initiatives, performance discussions, and operational priorities.
  • Coordinate with global Operations and global Operations Finance teams to ensure alignment with global standards, policies, and operational goals.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with global functional communities (e.g., Procurement, Logistics, Service, Manufacturing) to support integrated decision-making.
  • Oversee general cost performance, manufacturing and supply chain finance activities, and provide financial insight that elevates operational decision-making.
  • Maintain high-level governance of procurement and logistics cost performance, ensuring transparency and accuracy of key financial drivers.
  • Ensure project and service accounting processes provide clear, timely visibility into margins, WIP positions, and revenue timing.
  • Lead the regional CapEx financial process, including evaluation of business cases, investment prioritization, forecasting, and monitoring execution of strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Guide the regional forecasting and reporting cycle, delivering clear insights and supporting leadership in operational planning and decision-making.
  • Develop regional financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks that promote scalability, standardization, and governance maturity.
  • Mentor and develop the Operations Finance community across the region, fostering growth, capability, and a strong performance culture.

Key Requirements

  • Extensive Operations Finance experience within complex, multinational manufacturing environments.
  • Strong financial acumen across costing, forecasting, operational analysis, and investment decision-support.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups at regional and global levels.
  • Experience influencing and driving decisions within matrixed organizations.
  • Proficiency with ERP and analytics systems (Oracle preferred; modern reporting/data tools ideal).
  • Proven leadership abilities with a focus on collaboration, communication, and talent development.

  • A capable, engaged Operations Finance community across the region.

Travel Requirement

Up to 25% across Asia for plant visits, operations reviews, and regional/global engagements.
