Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Registrar’s Office supports the development, testing, and successful execution of enrollment management tasks within the college’s Student Information System (SIS) and the Reynolds website. The Registrar’s Office maintains and preserves the integrity of student data and serves as the college’s point of contact for FERPA related questions and issues. The Office ensures consistency, currency, responsiveness, and excellence in all aspects of student records services provided by the college on its multiple campuses

The Director of the Registrar’s Office provides leadership and strategic direction for all registrar functions, including academic records management, course scheduling, registration, transfer credit evaluation, degree and certificate certification, and compliance with institutional, state, and federal policies. The Director serves as the college’s official custodian of student academic records, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality. This position collaborates with academic and student leaders to support student success, enrollment management, and the overall mission of Reynolds Community College.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications

Knowledge of FERPA, accreditation standards, and higher education compliance requirements; Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; Experience in a community college or open-access higher education institution; Familiarity with VCCS policies and PeopleSoft/SIS systems; Proven ability to implement technology solutions and process improvements; Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in serving students.

Master’s degree in higher education administration, student services, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Significant experience in registrar services, enrollment management, or related student records administration; Supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership and team management skills.

Additional Considerations Operation of a State Vehicle No Supervises Employees Yes Required Travel

As needed between campus locations and for college events.
