Job Description

Ready to shape the future of a global production organisation?

As the world evolves, so does our responsibility to live and build smarter. We turn that responsibility into action—delivering innovative stone wool solutions that improve everyday life and protect future generations.

Join us as our new Director of Wool Confectioning & Logistics within Group Technology, where you will be able to combine deep technical understanding with strong commercial thinking to lead across borders, and organisational boundaries.

Group Technology is on an exciting journey with the goal of delivering exceptional engineering solutions that drive efficiency, sustainability, and market leadership. We've made some key changes to focus on technical excellence, standardisation and modularisation. This is your opportunity to join at a pivotal moment—as a key member of our new leadership group, you'll help define how we operate, collaborate, and deliver at scale across a complex, global manufacturing landscape.

If you're driven by the opportunity to shape technical strategy and influence how we deliver solutions to some of the world's most ambitious industrial projects, we'd like to hear from you.

Your future team

You'll join our newly structured Wool Confectioning & Logistics function within Group Technology—a pivotal area of ROCKWOOL that sits at the heart of how we manufacture and deliver.

You will lead a function of approximately 50 employees across Denmark, Poland and the Netherlands. The department is responsible for offline, packaging and logistics equipment and solutions, technical standards, and logistics capabilities that support efficient and reliable delivery across our business.

This is a highly collaborative leadership role with broad visibility across the organisation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Group Operations and Technology, senior leadership, operations, and business units, balancing strategic development with operational execution.

The role reports to the Vice President, Group Technology, and offers the opportunity to influence both direction and results in an important part of our manufacturing value chain.

The leadership team at ROCKWOOL values trust, transparency, and a shared commitment to delivering results. As a new member, you bring fresh perspectives, ambitions, and energy that complement the experience of colleagues who have built ROCKWOOL over many years. You'll have a genuine voice in shaping strategy and impact leadership and results.

What you will be doing

  • Define and lead the strategic direction for Wool Confectioning and Logistic solutions across the ROCKWOOL Group.
  • Drive performance against key metrics: standardisation maturity, delivery time, cost efficiency, and quality. You'll define clear KPIs, track progress, and support your team to achieve ambitious targets while respecting the constraints and opportunities within the business and technology landscape.
  • Bring business acumen to technical decisions. You'll understand how product handling, logistics, and confectioning choices impact profitability, customer delivery, and competitive advantage.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and standardisation. You'll communicate the "why" behind new ways of working, challenge current approaches with respect and curiosity, and create an environment where your department feels empowered to improve processes and raise standards.

What you bring

To succeed in this role, you bring strong leadership experience from a complex manufacturing environment, combined with the ability to operate strategically and collaboratively across borders.

We imagine that you have:

  • Significant leadership experience within production, manufacturing, logistics, or a related technical field
  • A strong track record of leadership within a global and cross-functional organisation
  • A strong combination of technical competencies, commercial mindset, and leadership, with the ability to translate technical expertise into business value and guide the functions toward achieving strategic and operational goals.
  • Experience driving transformation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, enabling you to engage confidently with everyone from engineers to executives.
  • A relevant educational background, ideally within engineering, supply chain, operations, or similar.

You are a clear communicator and a confident leader who creates direction, engagement, and accountability. You combine strategic perspective with a pragmatic approach and are comfortable navigating complexity while keeping focus on execution and results.

Please note: We recognise you may not meet every single point on this list—and that's okay. If you have solid experience in senior technical or operations leadership within complex manufacturing, strong stakeholder management skills, and genuine interest in this area, we'd encourage you to apply. You may bring skills, experience, and perspectives we haven't even listed here that would make you an excellent fit for the role.

What we offer

Joining ROCKWOOL at this moment means becoming part of a leadership team shaping the future of a global organisation. As Director of Wool Confectioning & Logistics, you'll have genuine autonomy to influence strategy, lead a capable and distributed function, and deliver solutions that matter at scale. You'll work with colleagues who value your expertise, listen to your ideas, and respect your contribution—and you'll have the opportunity to develop your leadership and responsibilities on a global scale.
