In the US, there are around 1.6m people who have a diabetic foot infection, with a 5.6 times higher chance of requiring an amputation. Studies further indicate that following a major amputation 50% of amputees will only survive for a further 2 years. As part of its ongoing investment into R & D, Biocomposites has commenced a phase III clinical study for a new drug that will transform the way healthcare professionals treat diabetic foot osteomyelitis.
A team is being assembled to prepare for the launch of this new drug (followed by additional new drugs) into the US healthcare market. As a key member of the Market Access team, the Director of Trade and Distribution will report to and partner closely with the Senior Director, Market Access. This role will optimize the commercial channel network and help shape and execute the U.S. market access strategy needed to support a successful launch and sustained post-launch adoption.
The Director of Trade and Distribution will strategically execute and manage the commercial distribution network for our product portfolio. This role is responsible for overseeing all Third-Party Logistics (3PL) operations, full-line wholesalers, and pharmacy networks.
