SUMMARY:

Responsible for directing the company’s Technical sales team, reporting sales force effectiveness, and productivity. Establishes and develops strategic sales tactics based on organizational goals that will promote sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Responsible for the processes and systems related to the servicing of both external and internal customers and the support of the sales staff. Provides team members with the appropriate training, tools, direction and motivation that enables their success.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Designs, implements, and manages auto sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes. Institutes high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in forecasting and budgeting strategies with the sales force
  • Responsible for establishing growth targets, revenues, and profits and reporting outcomes to company leadership
  • Provides leadership to the sales organization and acts as a liaison between the sales force and manufacturing facility
  • Reports sales strategies, opportunities, and industry threats directly to executive management. Collaborate with other management team members to identify opportunities for sales process improvement and successful implementation of sales strategies
  • Collaborate and make recommendations for adjustments to sales roles and other team configurations to maximize sales productivity
  • Ensure sales reports and other internal intelligence is provided to the sales organization. Develop and maintain reporting tools to organize industry information
  • Coordinate CDI price reviews, develop pricing strategies with the sales team, and organize rebate pricing agreements
  • Visit customer facilities, review quality issues, and maintain healthy partnerships with the customer base. Travel is required
  • Lead and mentor team members by providing friendly motivation and guidance to produce an outstanding staff with a customer centric focus
  • Manages and directs the day to day operations of the customer service department
  • Prioritizes training programs for sales and sales support roles to develop and reinforce critical job competencies
  • Monitors that all corporate policies and procedures regarding sales and order processing are being complied with
  • Runs and interprets various weekly and monthly reports
  • Other job functions as required

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years’ experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Should have a strong understanding of business systems and procedures
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task and be able to prioritize assignments

EFFORT AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

This is a remote position. The role will require regular travel to customer locations, along with occasional travel to company facilities, industry events, and internal business meetings.
