Director of Supply Chain

Reports to: VP of Operations

Lead the company’s global supply chain operations and manage a small professional team, with end-to-end responsibility for planning, production, inventory, subcontractors, and customer delivery commitments.

The role focuses on ensuring product availability and on-time delivery while balancing inventory levels, operational risks, and costs across global sites and logistics centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the global supply chain planning process, translating sales forecasts and customer orders into production, purchasing, and inventory plans.
  • Manage subcontractors and manufacturers in Israel and abroad, including production plans, material availability, capacity, priorities, and delivery performance.
  • Ensure customer delivery commitments are met through ongoing monitoring of orders, supply gaps, shortages, and operational risks.
  • Manage global inventory levels, replenishment plans, and inventory policies across company sites and logistics centers.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
  • Identify supply chain bottlenecks and proactively manage shortages to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance through KPIs, targets, and improvement plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Customer Service, Product Management, and Information Systems.
  • Build, track, and present key supply chain performance indicators.
  • Manage and develop a small professional team.

Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Management, Logistics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain, planning, purchasing, manufacturing, or supply management in a global company.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a professional team.
  • Proven experience working with international subcontractors and manufacturers – must
  • Hands-on experience in production planning, material planning, forecasting, purchasing, and global inventory management.
  • Experience managing customer delivery commitments and order fulfillment processes.
  • Strong understanding of demand forecasting and supply planning.
  • Experience working in a complex global environment with multiple products, suppliers, sites, and stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to work with suppliers and stakeholders across different time zones and travel abroad as needed.
