Director of Strategic Partnerships | Aventura, FL · $100K Base + Commission

About the Company

A well-funded specialty finance firm in Aventura that funds growing businesses. Most deals today run around $500K, driven by digital ads and an in-house sales team. Now the company is moving upmarket to $1M+ deals - and those don't come from ads. They come from relationships. That's where you come in.

About the Role

This is a new seat, and you'll build it from scratch. You'll create and own a referral network of accountants, M&A advisors, commercial bankers and investment bankers - the people who hear first when a business needs capital. Your job is to be the person they call.

You'll also be the first filter on every deal that comes through your channel. You'll know enough about credit to spot a good deal in one conversation and kill a bad one before it takes up a rep's week.

What You'll Do

• Find, meet and win over referral partners: CPAs, M&A advisors, bankers, IBs and business brokers
• Turn one-off introductions into partners who send deals month after month
• Screen incoming deals: revenue, cash flow, existing positions, red flags. Pass the good ones to the funding team with a clear read
• Track your pipeline and partner activity so you know which relationships produce funded deals
• Work with sales and underwriting to close the deals your channel brings in
• Help shape how the company goes after larger deals as the channel grows

Who You Are

• You've built relationships that produce business, and you'd rather be at a lunch with a CPA than behind a spreadsheet
• You understand credit: you can read a bank statement, follow a P&L and tell a real deal from a stretch
• You're self-directed. Nobody will hand you a lead list. You build the list

Backgrounds That Fit

• Bank credit analysts who moved into relationship management
• Partnerships or channel leads at a business-funding, specialty finance or small-business lending company, who already have referral relationships
• Junior investment bankers or accountants who know the numbers and want to be in front of clients

Compensation

• $100K base
• Commission paid on every funded deal from your channel, uncapped
• The bigger the network you build, the more you earn. In $1M+ deals, one good partner can be worth a lot

Big upside: the base is the floor, not the ceiling. Commission on $1M+ funded deals means a strong partner network can take total earnings well past the base - there's no cap on what you can make.
