Job Description

The Director, Strategic Partnerships is a key contributor to the success of the Account Planning and Strategy team, working closely with the SVPs to develop and implement strategic initiatives for high-value clients. This role focuses on day-to-day operational excellence, supporting the SVP in delivering superior client outcomes, and driving data-driven insights through market and competitive analysis. The Director will ensure quality in client deliverables, facilitate smooth execution of client reporting, and oversee budget management while contributing to strategic projects and assessments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support Strategic Planning and Execution

Client, Market, and Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth client and market assessments to identify key trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
  • Perform detailed competitive analyses to provide insights that inform strategic recommendations.
  • Develop case studies showcasing successful client outcomes and innovative strategies.

Strategic Reporting and Documentation

  • Collaborate with the SVP to develop and present Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), highlighting key performance metrics and growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of client action plans by providing market intelligence and data-driven insights.

2. Operational and Financial Management

Budget Management

  • Work with internal teams to monitor and manage client budgets, ensuring alignment with financial targets and efficient resource allocation.
  • Support the SVP in identifying opportunities for budget optimization and revenue growth.

Revenue Forecasts and Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of Revenue Forecasting and Reporting Tools (RFA/RTEs) to track performance against financial goals.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all client-related financial reporting.

3. Client Deliverables and Reporting

Quality Assurance in Media Deliverables

  • Collaborate with media teams to ensure all client deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and align with client expectations.
  • Regularly review and enhance the quality of client-facing media reports and presentations.

Client Reporting

  • Develop and maintain client reporting systems, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of performance reports.
  • Coordinate the preparation of Client Report Cards, providing transparent feedback on the quality of service and campaign results.

4. Thought Leadership and Strategic Support

Case Studies and Success Stories

  • Develop compelling case studies that highlight key successes and innovative solutions
  • Partner with internal teams to capture and communicate client wins and best practices.

Collaborate on Strategic Initiatives

  • Support the SVP in identifying and pursuing growth opportunities for clients, including new channels and media innovations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of white papers, thought leadership content, and market POVs to position ET as a strategic leader.

Key Metrics for Success

  • Client Satisfaction Measured through quality of deliverables, timely reporting, and effective communication.
  • Operational Excellence Accuracy and timeliness of budget management, RFAs/RTEs, and client reporting.
  • Strategic Contributions Quality of market and competitive analyses, case studies, and support in Quarterly Business Reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience 6+ years in account planning, strategy, or client services roles.
  • Analytical Skills Strong ability to conduct market and competitive analysis and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Project Management Proven track record in managing multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Communication Excellent presentation and written communication skills, with experience preparing client-facing reports and documents.
  • Collaboration Demonstrated ability to work effectively across departments, including media, finance, and client services teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in media, advertising, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with both digital and traditional media channels.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and financial tracking systems.
