Job Description

Director of Strategic Marketing

Compensation: $129K–$175K base (based on experience) + up to 15% annual bonus (KPI-based, multiplier eligible)

Location: Nashville, TN

Work Policy: 100% On-site | Approximately 6x travel per year

Relocation: Assistance provided

Stage: Enterprise healthcare supply chain organization | National footprint | Incentive eligible role

Who Are We?

We are a critical division within a nationally recognized healthcare enterprise, focused on optimizing supply chain performance and reducing operational costs across healthcare facilities nationwide. Our work directly impacts hospitals, surgery centers, long-term acute care facilities, and physician offices by improving efficiency so clinicians can focus on patient care. With a reputation for ethical leadership and operational excellence, we are building the next evolution of our GPO division—and this role will help define it.

What's in It for You?

A high-visibility position presenting directly to CFOs, COOs, and CEOs.

The opportunity to build branding and marketing strategy from the ground up for a growing GPO division.

Full ownership of persona development, annual marketing plans, competitive analyses, and strategic positioning.

A role designed for a creator and builder—someone who thrives in blank-slate environments.

Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus.

Relocation assistance and the financial benefit of working in a state with no income tax.

What Will You Do?

Create and execute comprehensive annual marketing plans from scratch, including landscape assessments, competitive analyses, and SWOT evaluations.

Develop targeted personas and positioning strategies for ASCs, LTACs, and physician offices.

Lead branding initiatives to grow GPO memberships and market presence.

Partner cross-functionally with executive stakeholders to align marketing initiatives with business goals.

Build and deliver high-level executive presentations in PowerPoint.

Develop compelling written content and strategic messaging tailored to healthcare facilities—not direct-to-consumer audiences.

Execute tactically—not just strategize—across campaigns, messaging, and brand initiatives.

Utilize tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel (HubSpot and Canva experience preferred).

What Will You Need?

8–10+ years of experience marketing to healthcare facilities within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry (required).

Direct experience marketing to one or more of the following: ASCs (Surgery Centers), LTACs (Long-Term Acute Care), and/or Physician Offices (required).

Deep understanding of healthcare supply chain and the GPO industry (required).

Proven experience building marketing programs, branding, and go-to-market strategies from the ground up.

Strong executive presence with the ability to present to senior leadership (CFO, COO, CEO).

Demonstrated ability to both create strategy and execute tactically.

Excellent writing skills, with experience developing annual marketing plans in presentation format.

Bachelors degree in Marketing or Marketing Communications (required).

Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; HubSpot and Canva preferred.

Ability to work full-time on-site in Nashville, TN.

Note: Candidates without 8–10 years of healthcare facility marketing experience within pharmaceutical or medical device industries will not be considered.

About Jenn Nguyen and Friends

I am a born survivor who LOVES a challenge. I specialize in People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Recruiting for early stage tech startups.

For me, making the hire is just one part of what it means to be a great Talent Leader. I work with teams to build culture and create processes for sustainable long-term growth.

That means structured interview processes, continual feedback loops with hiring managers, and an amazing candidate experience. It means letting the data drive the evolution of our hiring process. It means creating an unforgettable onboarding experience for everyone who comes into the company.

When it comes to recruiting, I’m not afraid to look outside the more traditional channels to find your candidate. (Just ask me about the time I hired a Lisp Engineer from Facebook!)

Born and raised in Texas, I have been on my own and working since I was 14. My adventures have taken me to Honolulu, through a paralegal career, co-founding my own startup, into college admissions, and somehow found my way to recruiting here in Los Angeles.

My background naturally lent itself to recruiting – an opportunity to intersect my years of professional experience and my desire to help others.

The key to my success lies in my ability to listen and collaborate with both hiring teams and candidates. Through that, I am able to provide end-to-end service and client/candidate satisfaction.

My current focus is developing teams for Technology Startups - From Leadership to interns and everything in between. I build HR, Ops, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Technical Support, Product and Support teams. I love working with Software Engineers (hello, Full Stack Node.js Devs!)

In the past, I’ve recruited for Cyber Security, eDiscovery, Legal, Information Security, Information Technology, Finance, Executive/C-Level, Operations, Management, HR, Sales, and Administrative roles.
