Central Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Director of Staff Development (DSD) to lead staff education, orientation, and training programs while supporting clinical excellence and regulatory compliance. The DSD works closely with the Director of Nursing and Administrator to promote high-quality resident care and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead new hire orientation, in-service training, and ongoing staff development programs.
Maintain education records, training schedules, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, and staff supervision.
Coordinate infection control activities, emergency preparedness drills, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Current California LVN license in good standing.
Minimum 1 year of long-term care/skilled nursing experience.
Minimum 1 year of experience developing or delivering nursing education programs.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
