Director of Spirits is a high-impact role that sits at the intersection of supplier strategy, sales execution, and control-state customer management. The Director of Spirits will own key supplier relationships, lead the spirits sales team, and work directly with high profile customers to drive performance initiatives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with supplier representatives to ensure smooth working relationships

  • Manage, track, andallocatemonthly, quarterly, and yearly goals

  • Understand, develop, and ensure programs and tools are in place to deliver key sales objectives

  • Develop, implement, and track new product launch plans

  • Manage execution initiativesagainst supplier Brand Standards

  • Consistent communication and information sharing with local supplier personnel

  • Manage and create profitable pricing strategies and programming

  • Set upnew items, pricing structures, and manage inventories

  • Collaborate with suppliers to efficiently disburse POS to the sales teams

  • Maintain and developaccuratedemand forecasts

  • Work collaboratively withmultiple internal and external partners

  • Manage and directthespirits brokerage salesteam by conducting regular work-withs and customer calls

  • Develop a list ofimprovementor growth goals for eachSales Consultantandmonitorprogress.

  • Providefeedbackdirect reports on a daily, weekly,monthlyand annual basis. 

  • Conduct weekly group and individual meetings; attend and take part in the development and preparation of meetings and presentations for the division

Job Requirements:

  • Prior supplier and/or sales management experience in the beverage alcohol industrya must

  • Control states spirits background a plus

  • Four Year Degree with a focus in Sales Management and/or Marketingpreferred

  • Strong negotiation skillsrequired

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Stronganalytical andproblem-solvingskills

  • Effectivetime management and organizational skills

  • Must be execution oriented with the ability to work independently

  • Computerproficiencywith MicrosoftOffice, with emphasis on Excela must

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and practice safe working and driving habits
