About the location:

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia will feature 95 keys and 25 branded residential homes, 8 distinct F&B outlets, all thoughtfully designed to reflect a contemporary interpretation of the Dominican Republic’s natural beauty. Wellness will be a defining pillar of the property, delivering a holistic experience that harmonizes with the natural environment while enhancing overall wellbeing through the restorative power of nature. The sustainable luxury destination is located on a 60-acre (24 hectare) site along the pristine beachfront of Playa Esmeralda in northeastern Dominican Republic, along the southern shores of Samaná Bay. A site of breathtaking natural beauty, Tropicalia is home to a diverse ecosystem of white-sand beaches; crystalline, aquamarine water and coral reefs; mountains, forests, mangroves, lagoons and rivers; a working coconut plantation; and an organic farm.

What youwill do

  • Lead the development and execution of a world-class wellness strategy, creating an innovative, holistic, and award-winning spa and wellness program that elevates the Tropicalia guest experience andestablishesthe resort as a premier wellness destination.

  • Supervise all the operating responsibilities, coordinatingeffortsandestablishingpriorities.

  • Ensure all relevant Four Seasons standards, policies and procedures are developed,implementedand actioned.

  • Responsible for theover-alloperation and performance of the spa and fitness for the Resort - including salon and retail, fitness center,meetingall financial objectives for the spa(s), meeting monthly spa revenue projections as it relates to retail and service and ensuring that expenses are maintained within budget provided. Primary functionsinclude, butare not limited to: (1) providing outstanding guest service and satisfaction, (2) revenue generation and enhancement, (3) staff management and training.

  • Responsible for the quality of service and maintenance of the product at the Spa in line with Four Seasons operating standards.

  • Responsible for the quality of service and maintenance of the Fitness Center with Four Seasons operating standards.

  • Prepare monthly financial and statistical reports for the Hotel senior management incorporating proposals and recommendationsregardingpolicy and operation of the Spa/Fitness, competition, occupancy and usage, marketshareand achievement of targets.

  • Develop andsubmitan annual budget and business plan for the Spa/Fitness. Tobe responsible forthe achievement and regular review of the business plan and budget. This should alsoinclude the control ofstaffwage costs in relation to productivity and efficiency.

  • Work closely with the Executive Team in the preparation of Spa/Fitness marketing plans for the year.

  • Coordinate all promotional plans and projects for the facility. To provide leadership,directionand support to the employees ofthe SpaFitness and to develop a highly motivated team who can deliverhigh standardsof service in all areas.

  • Effectively integratethe SpaFitness within the Hotel marketing strategy andto ensurethatthe SpaFitness is marketed correctly both internally and externally. This includes responsibility forensuring that all hotel staff are kept informed of changes or additions to information in the Spa/Fitness.

  • Work collaboratively and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

  • Build an open andtrustfulenvironment where everyone's opinion isshareandvalue Communicate clearly andopenlythe correct information at the right moment.

What you bring

  • A genuine passion for wellness, with a strong vision and provenexpertisein designing and delivering transformative, high-impact wellness programs that drive guest engagement, brand differentiation, and industry recognition.

  • Previous Hotel/Resort Spa and Fitness Experience

  • Minimum 5 years management experience in a luxury Spa and Fitness

  • Strong leadership& organizationalskillsrequired

  • Excellent reading,writingand oralproficiencyin the English language

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of 5-star service standards, effective application of spa staffing models.

  • Proven ability to create and implement spa service menus, effective retail management.

  • Successful marketing strategies, anddemonstratedability to project costs, revenue and to adhere to the budget that supports monthly / annual financials.

  • Proven leadershiptrack recordand luxury retail sales experience.

  • Previousexperience preferred as a hands-on therapist such as massage therapist, esthetician, etc.

  • Strong delegation, leadership, and operational skills to effectively manage high-volume performance and requirepreviousexperience managing high-volume stores or equivalent.
