Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Four (4) years of progressive full-time operational management, project management, and administrative experience. Supervisory experience. Experience with budget oversight. Experience utilizing computer software such as Microsoft suite, Google suite, 25Live, and/or Wolfmart.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Five (5) or more years of full-time operational management, project management, and administrative experience. Experience working in a higher education setting. Event planning experience.Experience acting as a primary liaison or representative for executive leadership.

Brief Description of Duties:

The Director of Southampton Operations is a key member of the School of Health Professions (SHP) Dean’s Office and serves as the Dean’s primary representative for all SHP activities on the Southampton (SH) campus. This role oversees and coordinates all operational functions specific to SHP at SH, addressing the campus’s unique goals, needs, and challenges. The Director also serves as the main liaison between SHP, its academic departments, and the various administrative and operational units located on the Southampton campus.

Duties:

General Administration:

  • Provide administrative oversight of faculty, staff, projects, budgets, scheduling, facilities, and procurement for SHP at the SH campus.

  • Serve as on-site administrative point of contact for school-related issues on the SH campus

  • Represent the Dean and SHP in Southampton campus initiatives

  • Serve as Dean’s primary contact for SH inquiries

  • Coordinate with Dean’s Office to facilitate onboarding of new faculty/staff at SH campus

  • Represent admissions and recruitment events at the SH campus

Project Management & Facilities:

  • Manage special projects as assigned

  • Lead planning for SHP events, including admissions interviews at the SH campus

  • Oversee SHP renovation and space‑related projects on the SH campus

  • Coordinate SHP building services with Facilities, Campus Police, Security, IT, and others on the SH campus

Communications & Collaboration:

  • Serve as liaison between SHP at SH and campus departments

  • Coordinate campus-wide initiatives in collaboration with SHP leadership on programming and strategic initiatives.

  • Coordinate campus wide initiatives with SH programs

  • Coordinate with Student Life and other campus offices to support SHP student needs

  • Coordinate university transportation for SHP programs

  • Collaborate with the Office of the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for the Southampton Campus

Academic Services:

  • Guide SH master schedule

  • Manage marketing/communications for SHP at SH

  • Identify, coordinate, and escalate SHP student service needs at the SH campus and recommend operational improvements

  • Oversee SH commencement and support SB commencement

  • Oversee SH student orientation

Staff Supervision:

  • Supervise SH Administrative Assistant 1

  • Oversee deployment of SHP Dean’s Suite support staff at SH campus

  • Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

Special Notes:
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.

In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $4000 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.

Evening and weekend work will be required at times.

Essential Position: This has been designated as an essential position based on the duties of the job and the functions performed. Positions that are designated as such may be required to report to work/remain at work even if classes are canceled, and the campus is working on limited operations in an emergency.
