Title: Clinical Director
Program: New Providence Women’s Shelter
Salary Range: $65,000 – 70,000 per year

Program Description:
The New Providence Women’s Shelter is a 130-bed 24/7 emergency shelter for homeless women diagnosed with mental illness and/or substance use. Our comprehensive services include case management, individual and group counseling, recreational activities, and housing placement assistance. Additionally, an on-site medical and psychiatric clinic operates Monday through Friday, staffed by a nurse, primary care physician, psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential duties of the Clinical Director include but are not limited to the following activities:
• Manage Social Services Department including Case managers, clinical coordinator, and housing specialist.
• Submit weekly reports to DHS Program Analyst due Thursdays and Fridays of every week.
• Keep running list of pending packages, pending move outs, and active housing packages--this should be easily accessible to you at all times and updates should be provided to you by HC
• PFP every Wednesday-PFP a follow-up should be sent to each CM immediately following PFP
• Participate in/facilitate weekly staff meetings--you should run this meeting alongside the PD and provide updates about new policies, staff changes, performance as it relates to our metrics, major incidents requiring follow-ups, move outs and trends
• Participate in Case Conferences--should be scheduled in advance unless there is a challenging client to engage who is available in the moment. This should only be done if your schedule can manage it.
• Bi-weekly supervision for 2 Housing Coordinators, 2 Team Leaders, and Clinical Coordinator. Supervision notes should be provided to each of them following the meeting.
• Review Shift Summaries as they are published.
• When on call, ensure that Priority One incidents are submitted to both Project Renewal and DHS staff promptly, providing all relevant information and documentation as soon as possible following the incident--no later than 4 hours of the P1 occurring.
• Responsible for utilizing all processes designed by Program Director to monitor the department's progress towards program goals.
• Participate in PRI meetings--incident review, performance workshops, etc.
• Follow up with SW from hospitals when clients are hospitalized.
• Manage incident and grievance follow ups.
• Collaborates with on-site clinic personnel, other PRI departments and maintains partnerships with community-based service providers including ACT Teams and Parole/Probation officers.
• Participate in weekly high-risk committee meetings

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree in Social Work, or a Certified Social Worker is preferred.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with homeless, mentally ill, and chemical affected also known as (MICA) individuals or other special needs populations; At least two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• An ability to motivate professional and support staff to work cooperatively to provide services to clients.
• An ability to respond constructively to all situations occurring between clients and staff and to apply conflict resolution techniques to resolve issues; operate effectively under a highly pressured environment.
• An ability to communicate both orally and in writing with staff and clients.
• A knowledge of case management software as well as a proficiency in Microsoft Office
