Why join us?

Our purpose is design for the good of humankind. It’s the ideal we strive toward each day in everything we do. And our success allows MillerKnoll to support causes that align with our values, so we can build a more sustainable, equitable, and beautiful future for everyone.

About the Role

The Director, Showroom Strategy leads the strategic direction, long‑range planning, and global alignment of MillerKnoll’s showroom ecosystem. In this role, you will shape how our showrooms and branded environments show up worldwide—establishing a unified framework for portfolio planning, cross‑brand program management, and the execution of major global design‑industry events. You will also guide the strategic roadmap for showroom evolution and oversee end‑to‑end planning for flagship moments such as Design Days/NeoCon, Salone del Mobile, and Clerkenwell Design Week.

What You’ll Do

Showroom Strategy & Vision

  • Develop and execute an insight‑driven, cohesive global showroom strategy.
  • Define long‑term direction for showroom formats, spatial typologies, and digital‑physical integration.
  • Partner across business units and dealer networks to align showroom strategy with market expansion, brand positioning, and product storytelling.
  • Lead portfolio lifecycle planning and prioritization of strategic initiatives globally.
  • Oversee showroom portfolio budgeting, including capital investment and major industry event planning.

Global Program Management & Leadership

  • Lead complex, multi‑brand programs across the global showroom network.
  • Build governance models, operating frameworks, and program calendars that drive clarity and consistency.
  • Serve as the central orchestrator of showroom‑related strategic initiatives and transformation efforts.
  • Translate insights, risks, and opportunities into actionable recommendations and long‑range roadmaps.

Design‑Industry Event Strategy

  • Own the end‑to‑end strategy for all major global design‑industry events leveraging showroom environments.
  • Guide spatial, creative, narrative, and programmatic direction in alignment with brand and product priorities.
  • Lead cross‑functional planning with Product, Brand, Creative, Engineering, and Sales to deliver unified multi‑brand experiences.
  • Manage master schedules, decision frameworks, and project governance to ensure disciplined execution.
  • Conduct post‑event evaluations to measure impact and inform ongoing evolution.

Launch Coordination & Strategic Enablement

  • Align showroom strategy and event planning with seasonal product launches and key narratives.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Sales to ensure showroom and event experiences support sales enablement and commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with AVPs/RSDs to address regional needs and strengthen market‑level selling efforts.
  • Provide guidelines and content for change communications, sales enablement, and operational readiness.

About You

  • A strategic leader with deep fluency in design, brand experience, and commercial strategy.
  • A proven program‑management expert capable of leading complex global initiatives.
  • A systems thinker adept at long‑range planning, cross‑functional alignment, and driving strategic clarity.
  • Skilled at balancing creative vision with operational discipline and business priorities.

Background & Experience

  • 10+ years in showroom or spatial strategy, design‑industry event leadership, or global program management within design‑led or premium organizations.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi‑brand, multi‑region programs and delivering high‑visibility brand moments.
  • Experience operating across diverse markets, seasonal product cycles, and matrixed environments.
  • People‑leadership experience preferred.
