Position Director of Service Line Management for Endocrinology/Nutrition and Ophthalmology/Optometry
The Director of Service Line Management for Endocrinology/Nutrition and Ophthalmology/Optometry is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of these specialties. This role focuses on expanding access, improving clinical outcomes, and driving service line growth. The director partners with clinical teams to develop innovative care models, enhance patient education, and implement technology solutions. Responsibilities include financial management, program development, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or a related clinical or administrative field required.
Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, MPH, or related) strongly preferred.
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, with at least 3–5 years managing or overseeing specialty service lines.
Direct experience in managing ambulatory or specialty care services such as endocrinology, nutrition services, ophthalmology, or optometry preferred.
Proven experience in operational efficiency, access improvement, and patient experience initiatives.
Familiarity with chronic disease management and preventative care models, especially related to diabetes, thyroid disorders, vision care, and nutrition programs.
Strong knowledge of outpatient specialty care operations, regulatory requirements, and quality metrics specific to endocrinology and ophthalmology.
Skilled in performance improvement, care coordination, and patient throughput strategies.
Financial acumen, including budget development, revenue cycle oversight, and cost-containment strategies.
Ability to analyze and act on clinical, financial, and operational data to drive decision-making.
Competency in EMR systems (e.g., Epic) and healthcare analytics tools.
