Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Director of Service - Internal Medicine to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. Opportunity Details:

  • Manage and provide clinical direction, leadership, oversight, and evaluation of all aspects of medical staff performance, clinical services, and medical education within Internal Medicine.
  • Develop departmental standards and ensure delivery of accredited medical services that meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure strong clinical outcomes, including POCUS training, professional development, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Provide medical oversight, direction, leadership, and accountability for medical care in assigned areas.
  • Mentor physicians, residents, and advanced practice providers to ensure adherence to best practices, standards of care, and hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership in clinical quality and oversight initiatives.
  • Establish patient care standards, clinical goals, and strategic program development.
  • Determine qualifications and competencies of department personnel providing medical services.
  • Maintain knowledge of Patient Safety Requirements and develop orientation/in-service training for new staff.
  • Collect productivity metrics and clinical outcomes to support quality assurance and patient care programs.



Qualifications

  • Current, valid, and unrestricted NYS medical license.
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine.
  • 2-5 years of clinical experience in Internal Medicine.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $260,000* based on 40-hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $286,000**, which includes the baseline salary and 401(k) contribution.

  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    -
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.

  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
