Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Director of SEO to lead and scale our SEO function across multiple client accounts. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing SEO performance, managing a cross-functional team, and ensuring high-quality execution across all deliverables.

The ideal candidate is not only technically strong but also a proven leader who can drive strategy, improve team output, and confidently represent SEO in client-facing environments.

SEO Strategy & Performance

• Own the end-to-end SEO strategy across all client accounts

• Develop and implement scalable frameworks across:

  • Technical SEO

  • On-page optimization

  • Content strategy

  • Authority building / link acquisition

• Ensure all strategies are aligned to business outcomes (traffic, conversions, revenue)

• Continuously identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and manage a distributed SEO team, including:

  • SEO Specialists

  • Content Writers

  • Link Building resources

• Set clear KPIs and performance expectations across the team

• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and development

• Identify hiring needs and support team growth as the function scales

Quality Assurance & Delivery

• Establish and enforce quality standards across all SEO deliverables

• Review outputs to ensure they are client-ready and strategically sound

• Eliminate low-quality or templated work and elevate overall output quality

• Standardize processes and workflows across accounts

Client Engagement

• Participate in key client calls and strategic discussions

• Translate SEO performance into clear business insights

• Partner with Account Managers to support retention and growth

• Act as the senior SEO voice within the organization

Process & Operational Excellence

• Build and refine SOPs for core SEO activities

• Improve reporting frameworks and performance tracking

• Introduce tools, automation, and best practices to enhance delivery

• Ensure consistent execution across all accounts

Experience and Skills & Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in SEO

• 2+ years in a leadership or team management role

• Proven experience managing multiple client accounts (agency experience preferred)

• Strong understanding of:

  • Technical SEO

  • Content strategy and optimization

  • Keyword research and search intent

  • Link building strategies

• Ability to develop and execute high-level SEO strategies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams (4+ people preferred)

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills

• Comfortable in client-facing environments and executive-level discussions

• Ability to simplify complex SEO concepts into clear, actionable insights
