The Director of Security provides strategic leadership for an integrated security program that safeguards guests, residents, team members, and property assets while preserving the grace and discretion of an ultra-luxury hospitality experience. This role leads and develops the security team, strengthens risk-management practices, and supports operational efficiency and financial performance. As a champion of the brand and its values, the Director of Security ensures that every safety and security interaction reflects the highest standards of care, judgment, and service.

  • Assumes a leadership role in multi-faceted security programs with a focus on protecting company assets. Develops and implements a strategy that demonstrates the processes in understanding the nature and probability of catastrophic and significant risk events.
  • Outlines in detail the plans to prevent and prepare for an adverse event, including awareness, exercises, methodologies, and training for management and team members. Creates and updates Standard Operating Procedures for departments and hotels as it relates to security and safety functions.
  • Creates, reviews, and trains on reports and security measures. Ensures that proper and thorough communications are maintained with senior management and governing authorities.
  • Accountable for gathering and assessing information that may affect the security and safety of personnel and the profitability or reputation of the hotel.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that create awareness, safety and overall support to both the Hotel and Residences.

Qualifications

  • A genuine hospitality professional first—warm, composed, discreet, and service-oriented—with the judgment to protect an ultra-luxury environment without compromising the guest or resident experience.
  • At least five years of progressive experience in luxury hospitality, residential security, safety, or loss prevention, including two years leading teams; prior Director of Security experience is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, emotional intelligence, and de-escalation skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations and prepare clear, objective incident reports.
  • Demonstrated expertise in emergency response, investigations, risk assessment, fire and life safety, and physical-security systems.
  • CPP, CFE, and/or CLSD accreditation is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and flexibility to work overnights, weekends, and holidays are required. CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid certification—or the ability to obtain it within 90 days—is also required.
  • If required based on assigned duties, must hold or obtain a valid Texas DPS Non-Commissioned Security Officer license, including Level II training. This is an unarmed position and does not authorize carrying a firearm.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
