Hotel Polaris is seeking an exceptional Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team and play a pivotal role in advancing the success of a one-of-a-kind property that has quickly become an icon on the hospitality landscape. This role requires a leader who can inspire and elevate a high-performing sales team while driving brand positioning, setting clear strategic direction, executing the business plan, and delivering top-line revenue performance.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead and develop the sales and marketing team for a dynamic large-scale property, including advancing the market positioning and sustained revenue flow.
  • Build and accelerate sales in the group and leisure travel segments, using a focus on culture and integrity, while establishing dominant brand positioning within defined competitive sets.
  • Lead with authenticity and purpose by embodying our core values and brand pillars, inspiring fellow navigator council members and team leaders to deliver a unified, people first culture across the hotel, in the community and with distinction within CoralTree Hospitality.
  • Shape and expand our performance long into the future by formulating strong community ties, supported with integrated marketing efforts to drive revenue
  • Proactively recruit, develop and retain sales talent with well-established relationships and the ability to dominate their assigned markets.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate short and long-term tactics and programs focused on customer and market needs in order to ensure the success of Hotel Polaris and sustained achievement of revenue goals.
  • Utilize financial and quantitative data to drive business strategy, establish and maintain realistic budgets, and realize projected results.
  • Coach, mentor and lead a diverse team of professionals to optimum performance levels, while actively seeking leadership roles to participate in industry and community organizations.
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive public relations function to include the creation and development of a new website, electronic media, and social media campaigns.
  • Create and communicate the revenue, marketing, e-commerce and public relations strategy.
  • Be a Pro in leveraging strategic partnerships, and initiate programs to drive transient and group sales, all while possessing up-to-date knowledge in the marketing and sales profession as it relates to the hospitality industry.
  • Strong engagement with all sales, marketing and digital tools to drive revenues.
  • Develop effective delivery systems and methods for measuring and evaluating direct sales and marketing results and have a thorough knowledge of online distribution channels within both leisure and group segments.
  • Be the face of The Hotel Polaris at the United States Air Force Academy and use your strong communication and presentation skills with ownership, Academy stakeholders, the local community and key industry influencers to drive success.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Experienced with at least 7 years of hotel sales and marketing experience or the equivalent amount of industry experience; OR, equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience selling and leading a 4-Star plus Hotel with multiple restaurants, conference & event space, guest amenities including spa and fitness center (opening and or repositioning experience preferred)
  • A college graduate with a bachelor’s degree (associates degree considered) in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or the same in experience.
  • A dynamic, enthusiastic, and creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed.
  • A strong leader with desire to satisfy the needs of others with a proven track record in a similar position.
  • A true entrepreneur that thrives in fast paced environments, being a High Performer and Cultural Ambassador within the Hotel, Organization and Community.
  • Strong experience within the Luxury Leisure (agency) and Group market segments.
  • Organized, personable, and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge including social media platforms.

Salary range: $155,000 - $175,000/yr. + bonus
