Job Description
Omni Dallas Hotel is seeking a dynamic Director of Sales and Marketing who brings strong leadership, strategic vision, direction, and execution. Based in Downtown Dallas, you will engage in leading a dynamic team of associates in the Commercial Division along with representing the hotel through key partnership on a local, regional, and national level.
The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading the strategic vision, direction and execution of the Commercial Division consisting of sales, marketing, revenue, and convention / catering service. This position is responsible for driving topline revenue, market share, brand positioning, working with the operations team in creating experiences and developing a high-performing commercial team. The DOSM serves as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and partners closely with each of the Hotels key departments, corporate office, and owners to achieve the hotel's short- and long-term business objectives.
Overall Sales Strategies and Development
• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve annual revenue, occupancy, ADR, and market share goals.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Group, Corporate Travel, Leisure, and Catering in all segments.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key meeting planners, travel partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Lead strategic account management efforts to maximize revenue production and customer retention.
• Analyze market trends, competition, and customer demand to identify growth opportunities.
• Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and community organizations.
• Develop annual sales plans, deployment strategies, and market penetration initiatives.
Revenue Strategies
• Collaborate with Revenue Director to develop pricing, inventory and distribution strategies that maximize hotel profitability.
• Drive achievement of budgeted revenue, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and market share objectives.
• Review pace reports, forecasts, booking trends and demand patterns to identify revenue opportunities.
• Develop promotional strategies to stimulate demand during need periods.
• Monitor and evaluate sales production, segmentation performance, and channel effectiveness.
• Participate in daily business reviews and weekly revenue strategy meetings while contributing to revenue optimization decisions.
Marketing and Branding
• Collaborate with Director of Marketing to develop and execute integrated marketing plans that support revenue generation and brand awareness.
• Ensure all Brand standards are compliant and consistent across all marketing channels that is guest and associate facing.
• Oversee all marketing efforts that are owned, earned, or paid through targeted campaigns.
• With the Director of Marketing managing key relationships with agencies, media partners, tourism organizations, and community stakeholders.
• Evaluate campaign effectiveness through performance metrics and analytics.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen market positioning and enhance the hotels Unique Selling Propositions.
Service Execution and Reputation Management
• Convention and Catering Services teams to ensure seamless execution of guest and client experiences.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers to understand expectations and identify service improvement opportunities.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores, online reviews, and reputation management platforms.
• Address customer concerns and service recover situations in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure sales commitments and client expectations are effectively communicated to operational departments.
Departmental Administration
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
• Maintain accurate sales reporting, forecasting, systems management, and business analytics.
• Ensure compliance with company audit policy and standards are met.
• Oversee contracts, sales systems, CRM utilization, and departmental documentation.
• Monitor departmental expenditure to ensure effective resource allocation and forecast accuracy.
• Review, assess and present monthly, quarterly, and annual budget and business reviews to key stakeholders.
• Ensure sales commitments and client expectations are effectively communicated to operational departments.
Team Leadership and Development
• Lead, coach, and develop the Commercial Division.
• Establish performance goals, associate engagement, and developmental plans for team members.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, engagement, and ways to always improve.
• Conduct one on ones, bi / annual performance reviews along with creating a succession planning for the Commercial Division.
• Recruit, train, mentor and retain top talent within the Commercial organization.
• Promote open communication and strong cross functional relationships throughout the hotel.
• Inspire teams to achieve exceptional performance while creating a positive and rewarding work environment.

Qualifications
• Must have Director of Sales & Marketing Experience in a luxury hotel/resort
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of senior sales and/or marketing leadership experience managing more than 10 employees
• College degree or equivalent experience
• Proficient in use of Excel, Word and access database tools
