Director of Sales Finance
Location – This is a hybrid role, which means that you will have the flexibility to work both onsite and at a distance. You will collaborate onsite at our La Farge, WI office for 4-8 days per month, and the rest of the time you can choose to work remotely or onsite.

Bonus – This position is eligible for a 10% annual incentive bonus based on cooperative and individual performance.

Summary of Role
The Director of Sales Finance is a strategic leader responsible for driving enterprise-level financial planning, forecasting, and performance management across all sales channels and customer segments. This role partners closely with commercial and executive leadership to optimize trade investments, and pricing strategies, while ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and alignment with organizational objectives.
This position leads a team of analysts and plays a critical role in shaping the organization’s commercial finance strategy, influencing decisions that drive long-term growth, profitability, and member value.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Commercial Finance Leadership & Business Partnership – 30% of time
- Co-own the commercial P&L with Sales Leadership, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals.
- Serve as liaison between Finance, Sales and Demand Planning to support long-range planning, annual budgeting, and rolling forecasts for volume, revenue, and trade spend.
- Accountable for D&A financial planning, governance, controls, forecasting, performance management, and financial integrity.
- Oversee customer-level P&L analysis, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and optimize mix.
- Provide financial modeling and scenario ana for pricing, trade spend, and customer profitability decisions, and monitor actual results against plans and forecasts.
Trade Investment and Trade Spend Optimization – 40% of time
- Lead trade investment governance, including budget management, internal controls, accrual accuracy, compliance, and financial accountability.
- Support ROI-driven decision-making by validating financial outcomes, ensuring standardized reporting, and confirming impact on revenue, margin, and trade spend vs the coop goals.
- Deliver dashboards and performance reporting to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Establish controls and compliance frameworks.
- Support accrual accuracy and financial transparency.
Advanced Analytics, Finance Operations & Continuous Improvement – 10% of time
- Apply advanced analytics tools to financial models using relevant customer, consumer, and market data to strengthen performance visibility, forecast outcomes, and support complex commercial decisions.
- Strengthen sales finance routines, reporting processes, planning tools, analytical capabilities, and performance dashboards to improve financial visibility, reporting accuracy, profitability analysis, and business decision support.
- Promote effective reporting environments, data integrity, financial systems, and business intelligence tools that support brand, category, customer and channel analysis.
- Responsible of TPM Tool specific activities related to financial reconciliation, accrual validation, trade spend reporting, and audit/control requirements associated with trade budgets, spending, and TPM data.
People Leadership & Talent Development – 20% of time
- Manage, lead, coach, and develop the Sales Finance team to deliver high-quality commercial finance support and strategic business partnership.
- Set performance expectations, prioritize work, and ensure team resources and capabilities are aligned to customer, channel, and cooperative objectives.
- Build team capability in sales finance, financial storytelling, analytics, and cross-functional influence.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, talent development, succession planning, and workforce planning activities.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, commercially focused, and high-performing team environment.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Support evolving commercial, finance, and cooperative priorities through responsibilities aligned with the role’s purpose, scope, and leadership expectations.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, sales finance, commercial finance, FP&A, revenue growth management, or related business roles required; 5+ years of management or leadership experience preferred.
- Expert-level financial acumen, analytical capability, commercial judgment, and business partnership skills, with advanced experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, pricing, performance management, and revenue growth management.
- Deep understanding of category and customer economics, brand development, channel performance, consumer and market dynamics, and the commercial business cycle.
- Ability to translate financial, customer, channel, consumer, and operational data into clear insights, recommendations, and actions that influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Demonstrated enterprise-level commercial finance leadership, including ownership of customer and channel performance insights and accountability for recommendations that impact revenue, profitability, and overall business performance.
- Proven experience supporting commercial decision-making through pricing, trade investment, customer profitability, and revenue growth management strategies.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, financial reporting tools, TPM and business intelligence or advanced analytics platforms.
- Exceptional communication, influence, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead through change and drive alignment across functions.
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented leadership style with demonstrated success developing high-performing teams.
Base salary wage range: $129,896 - $173,201.60 per year
This salary wage range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base salary wage compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the salary wage range and hiring at the maximum of the salary wage range is not typical.
