Drive Strategic Growth Across One of Healthcare's Most Important Markets

Are you a proven healthcare sales leader who understands how to navigate complex healthcare organizations, influence executive stakeholders, and drive growth through strategic partnerships?

McKesson is seeking a Regional Director, Community Health Centers to lead business development and account growth efforts across the Eastern United States. This highly visible role is responsible for expanding McKesson's presence within Community Health Centers (CHCs), strengthening relationships with CHC-focused Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), and partnering with healthcare leaders to achieve meaningful business and patient care outcomes.

This is not a traditional field sales position. We are seeking a consultative sales professional who can engage C-suite executives, identify enterprise-level opportunities, negotiate complex agreements, and develop long-term strategies that create value for Community Health Centers and McKesson alike. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the Community Health Center landscape, experience working with GPOs, and a proven track record of selling healthcare solutions to executive decision-makers.

Travel

  • Up to 50% travel throughout the assigned Eastern U.S. territory.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Strategic Growth

  • Achieve sales, gross profit, and growth objectives across assigned Community Health Center accounts and target prospects.
  • Develop and execute territory strategies that expand market share, increase customer penetration, and support long-term business growth.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within Community Health Centers and affiliated organizations.

Build Executive Relationships

  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with CHC executives, including CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and other senior decision-makers.
  • Present McKesson's value proposition to key stakeholders and lead complex contract negotiations.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor by understanding customer priorities, challenges, and growth initiatives.

trengthen GPO and Customer Partnerships

  • Develop strong relationships with Community Health Center-focused GPOs and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize contract compliance, portfolio performance, and customer engagement.
  • Ensure alignment between customer business objectives and McKesson's solutions and services.

Deliver Business Performance

  • Conduct business reviews and provide strategic recommendations that drive growth, improve performance, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze sales, margin, compliance, and utilization data to identify opportunities and support decision-making.
  • Partner with internal teams and manufacturer partners to expand product adoption and improve market performance.

Collaborate Across the Organization

  • Work closely with Account Managers, sales leadership, marketing, operations, and manufacturer partners to execute growth strategies.
  • Educate internal teams on Community Health Center market dynamics, GPO partnerships, customer trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Champion best practices and continuously improve processes that enhance customer experience and operational effectiveness.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $145,000 - $155,000
  • Target Sales Incentive: $50,000 annually
  • Eligible for participation in the Long-Term Incentive (LTI) Program
  • Auto Program: Company vehicle with fuel card OR Monthly auto allowance of $668
  • 16 days of Paid Time Off, + 5 Personal Holidays, & 7 Company-Observed Holidays

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • 7-year motor vehicle record check completed during pre-employment

Preferred Critical Skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of the Community Health Center purchasing landscape, including GPO strategies, contracting structures, and decision-making processes.
  • Proven success selling into Community Health Centers (CHCs).
  • Experience working with Community Health Center-focused Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs).
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and negotiate with C-suite executives and senior healthcare leaders.
  • 7+ years of healthcare sales, strategic account management, or sales leadership experience with a track record of achieving growth objectives.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles, strategic partnerships, and multi-stakeholder customer engagements.
  • Strong business development, consultative selling, and executive relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic influencing capabilities.

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of healthcare distribution, supply chain, healthcare services, or related healthcare markets.
  • Understanding of Community Health Center operations, funding models, reimbursement structures, and governmental healthcare programs.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and territory planning abilities.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive account growth.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:

$146,100 - $243,500

Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
