La Mare Hotel & Residences is a newly reimagined luxury high‑rise in the heart of Brickell, transforming the iconic One Broadway tower into a mixed‑use destination featuring 123 hotel suites and 198 luxury residences. The Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) is the senior commercial leader responsible for the full revenue strategy, market positioning, brand development, and integrated marketing performance of La Mare Hotel & Residences. This role works closely with the Remington Hospitality Commercial Strategy team to direct all sales, marketing, and distribution strategies, overseeing brand management, digital marketing, PR, social media, partnerships, revenue strategy alignment, and group/leisure sales performance.
Joining approximately 10 months prior to opening, this executive will shape and execute the full commercial roadmap—including pre-opening sales penetration, brand activation, digital strategy, partnerships, and long-term revenue growth.
The DOSM will be a visionary marketer, strategic seller, and influential leader who positions La Mare as a premier luxury destination within Miami/Brickell and the global marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Revenue Leadership
- Develop and execute the property's comprehensive commercial strategy across transient, group, corporate, leisure and F&B revenue streams.
- Partner closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, segmentation, forecasting, and channel strategy.
- Build and oversee annual sales and marketing budgets, goals, and KPI frameworks.
- Drive year-over - year revenue growth and deliver on asset value targets.
Pre-Opening Sales, Marketing & Branding
- Lead the full pre-opening commercial timeline including:
- Sales deployment
- PR strategy
- Brand identity and execution
- Digital ecosystem launch, including social media strategy and execution
- Pre-opening content strategy and partnerships
- Design and activate the pre-opening sales plan to achieve early market penetration.
- Develop messaging, positioning, and storytelling aligned with La Mare’s luxury vision.
Sales Leadership & Market Development
- Build, inspire, and manage a high-performing sales organization.
- Cultivate key accounts across corporate, group, wholesale, entertainment, and luxury leisure.
- Establish La Mare as a preferred destination for luxury travelers, long-stay guests.
- Lead strategic partnerships within Miami’s luxury, and cultural ecosystems.
Marketing, Digital & Brand Experience
- Lead digital strategy including SEO/SEM, paid media, social, CRM, and web performance.
- Drive sophisticated content strategy—photography, video, campaign development, and storytelling that reflects the La Mare brand.
- Oversee PR, communications, influencers, and global media relationships.
- Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints including onsite experiences, collateral, F&B venues, and residences.
Owner Relations & Cross Functional Collaboration
- Provide transparent reporting, insights, and recommendations to ownership and the Managing Director.
- Collaborate with Operations, F&B, and Finance to ensure cohesive commercial performance.
- Drive alignment with design, development, and pre-opening teams to ensure market ready product positioning.
Leadership, Culture & Team Development
- Recruit and develop top commercial talent across sales, catering, marketing, and communications.
- Foster a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, empowerment, and service excellence.
- Mentor team members and support long-term succession planning.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive sales & marketing leadership experience in luxury hospitality.
- Pre-opening experience in a luxury, lifestyle, or mixed-use property.
- Proven success leading commercial strategy for high-profile hotels or residential/hotel hybrids.
- Strong financial acumen including forecasting, budgeting, customer segmentation, and revenue strategy.
- Deep understanding of luxury traveler behavior, brand marketing, and global distribution.
- Established network within Brickell, Miami, South Florida, or comparable international luxury markets.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) with strong executive level communication skills.
- Experience with condo hotel or residential components.
- Background in rooftop venues, lifestyle F&B, and launch campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or related field.

Qualifications
Physical Requirements:
- Sit, stand and walk for varying lengths of time
- Lift approximately ten (10) pounds
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability
- Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers and other office equipment as needed
