If you’re a senior commercial leader who thrives on driving growth, shaping strategy, and leading high-performing teams- this is an opportunity to take full ownership of a national business.

You’ll lead Boots Hearingcare’s operations across the Republic of Ireland, with responsibility for performance, growth, and expansion. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll drive commercial success, develop the network, and shape how we grow our presence in the Irish market.

This isn’t just operational leadership- it’s strategic ownership.

No siloed decision making. No limited influence. Just the autonomy, visibility, and backing to lead a business and drive meaningful growth.

The business environment

You’ll lead a multi-site healthcare retail business across Ireland, operating at the intersection of clinical excellence and commercial performance.

The role offers:

  • Full accountability for the Irish business performance
  • Direct engagement with senior leadership and ROI Board
  • Responsibility for both operational delivery and strategic growth
  • The opportunity to shape market expansion and partnerships
  • Collaboration across UK and central support functions

This role is about leading a business, not just managing it.

The role

As Director of Sales & Business Development – Ireland, you’ll:

  • Lead the Irish business to deliver commercial, operational, and strategic objectives
  • Take full ownership of financial performance, including P&L and KPI delivery
  • Drive growth through network optimisation, new locations, and partnerships
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across multiple sites
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, customer-centred hearing care
  • Work closely with central teams to execute strategic initiatives
  • Represent the Ireland business at leadership and board level
  • Identify and unlock new commercial opportunities across the market

You’ll balance performance, people, and growth, ensuring the business delivers both short-term results and long-term success.

Progression & development

This is a high-impact leadership role with strong visibility across the wider business.

You’ll gain:

  • Exposure to executive leadership and board-level decision making
  • The opportunity to shape the growth strategy for a national market
  • Involvement in wider UK & ROI leadership initiatives
  • The ability to influence how healthcare retail is delivered at scale

What’s in it for you

  • Competitive executive salary (DOE)
  • Bonus / incentive structure
  • Company car or car allowance
  • Flexible / field-based working
  • 25–30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Boots Discount Card
  • Pension scheme & life assurance
  • Flexible Benefits Box – tailor your package
  • Telus wellbeing support – confidential support inside and outside work
  • Long service awards recognising your contribution

What we’re looking for

  • Significant leadership experience in multi-site retail, healthcare, or service environments
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial growth and operational performance
  • Strong experience in business development, expansion, or partnerships
  • Full P&L ownership and financial management experience
  • Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams
  • Strong stakeholder management, including executive and board-level exposure
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate plans into delivery

Desirable

  • Experience within healthcare or regulated environments
  • Experience leading transformation or growth programmes
  • Degree or leadership qualification
