Director of Revenue – OLV Human Services

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000/annually (based on relevant experience)
Responsible to: Chief Financial Officer
The Director of Revenue is a leadership position focused on maximizing revenue generation and financial performance. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth, optimizing rates and billable units, managing budgets, prepare revenue forecasts, reviewing and oversee cost report preparation, and analyzing financial data. They also collaborate with various program leaders to ensure alignment and efficiency in revenue-related processes.
Essential Job Duties:
• Responsible for the billing/revenue department; overseeing the billing department, revenue accountant and credentialing specialist
• Understand and manage various non-profit rate methodologies, healthcare, mental health and dental billing
• Be the subject matter expert within billing software platforms, ensuring they are set up accurately and being leveraged appropriately by the billing team. Verifying that reporting integrity is maintained
• Analyze census/unit utilization to ensure programs properly maximize revenue
• Oversee and manage agency contracts
• Oversee and review various cost reports to ensure rates are maximized
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including census/unit utilization, denial management, days in accounts receivable, benchmark/trends, etc.
• Compile annual agency revenue budget, assist with periodic revenue forecasting
• Drive workflow efficiencies within the billing/revenue team
• Work closely with program leaders to align revenue/census targets
• Participate in industry workgroups, understanding best practices and regulation updates.
• Participate as a key member on the Leadership Team to develop and maintain a strategic plan for the controlled growth, expansion, and/or development of programs sites for OLV Human Services.
• Assist with new programs, conducting market research to accurately compile proforma revenue targets/assumptions
• Responsible for ensuring monthly revenue is timely, accurate, and included in monthly financial reporting according to GAAP/financial regulation.
• Maintain, develop and implement revenue departmental policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Software Skills-
◦ Be the subject matter expert within the IT software platforms that are being utilized by the billing/revenue team. Including electronic medical records, accounting software, and credentialing software.
◦ Intermediate skill level in Microsoft 365 suite, expert level in excel.
◦ Ability to take lead and assist in software development/implementations
• Deep understanding of financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, and data analysis.
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, build relationships and collaborate with various program leaders.
• Ability to complete multiple priorities and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of multi-funded, non-profit organizational structure, laws and governing regulations including, but not limited to Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR), Reimbursable Cost Manual, or other not-for-profit program cost reports.
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft 365, Accounting Software Systems, and Human Resources Information Systems
• Ability to work effectively with outside auditors and governmental agencies.
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with 10+ years’ experience, management experience a must.
OR
Master’s degree in accounting or related field with 6+ years’ experience, management experience a must.
License/Registration/ Certifications Required:
Valid NYS Driver’s License
