
The Director of Residential Life provides leadership, supervision, and spiritual nurture for Black Mountain Home’s residential care programs, ensuring safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environments for children and youth. This role oversees residential staff, promotes excellence in caregiving practices, supports youth placement stability, and ensures compliance with licensing, accreditation, and ministry standards. The Director serves as a member of the organization’s leadership team, partners with program leaders to strengthen residential services, and helps cultivate the spiritual growth and professional development of staff while advancing the mission of Black Mountain Home - "Glorying God by caring for children, youth and families".
Requirements
Ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years experience working in residential care settings, lived experience as a full time direct care staff, and residential care leadership experience. This position is ideal for a seasoned residential care professional who combines strong leadership skills, a heart for ministry, and a commitment to helping children and youth thrive.
Reports to - Vice President of Programs

BMH provides care in a loving, Christian environment for abused, abandoned and negelcted children from birth through college graduation. Programs include family foster care, residential care, transitional living for teens and independent living for high school graduates pursuing a further education.
