Vision and Values
As Director of Residences, I fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses Kaplankaya to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them, plus our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky and pioneering wellness. By embracing the Six Senses vision and values, I will deliver an exceptional experience for homeowners and develop hosts to be the very best they can be.
Wellness
I will fully embrace, implement and safeguard the overall Wellness philosophy, concepts and programs such as Sleep With Six Senses, Eat With Six Senses, Grow With Six Senses, Reconnection & Rituals and Mission Wellness. All aspects of these wellness and nutrition initiatives will be adopted and implemented throughout the operations and its strategic planning and development.
I will safeguard the pillars of Wellness and make sure that all these brand initiatives are fully embraced, adopted, and implemented within the residences.
Sustainability
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do at Six Senses Kaplankaya. As Director of Residences, I will ensure all directives on environmental protection and preservation, re-usage and minimum wastage, purchasing and packaging such as the abolition of single-use plastic, social responsibility and all other practices documented in the Sustainability Guidelines are followed to maintain a harmonious and sensitive approach to our environment and cultural surroundings.
Operational Ownership
In this role, I will work strategically with the Rooms department and Operations team to develop cohesive and productive goals for the company and establish the procedures/guidelines to achieve them. I will support to maintain an overall consistency of the Company’s vision, quality/standards and develop operation concept consistent with brand identity.
I will work collaboratively with the operations team onsite on service standards, service delivery and correlated product standards. I will support the overall process of management and decision making to ensure an objective and transparent process for short- and long-term operational goals and strategies are formulated and achieved.
My constant interaction with and provision of support to and communication with other functional areas is intrinsic to the smooth functioning of the residences. I will perform any additional duties given to me by Resort Manager.
Responsible Business
All activities within the residential properties will be carried out ethically, honestly and within the parameters of local law. I will ensure a safe and secure environment for homeowners, hotel guests and hosts and assets in compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. I will operate the team and department within the highest standards set by LQA and Six Senses Home Office to ensure maximum level of guest satisfaction.
Administration
Reporting requirements for the role will be completed accurately, on time and maintained for reference. I will provide analysis, solutions and general operational expertise for the success of the property. Corrective action will be taken immediately when issues are identified, particularly for quality assessments. The required meetings and briefings are to be attended or conducted, as instructed by Resort Manager.
Financial Performance
I will analyze/monitor daily and forecast in accordance with company guidelines any guest feedback, support menu engineering and overall offering within the residences. I will follow-up on fee payment if applicable and work closely with Finance team and the Front Desk on the invoicing of fee for owners or guests etc. I will continually monitor and control to drive profitability, while taking into consideration the preservation of required standards with every decision made. I will manage and control the annual budget process together with the Operations and Finance team. For better control of any financial performances, I will also work closely with other departments such as Food & Beverage, Purchasing, Housekeeping, etc to ensure all expenses are in line with set targets and budgets are achievable.
Sales & Marketing
By keeping abreast of industry trends and practices and updating knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering, I will continually focus on the rejuvenation of our residential experiences. Products and services will be constantly assessed to remain relevant, innovative and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
I will work closely with Marketing team (internal & external) on marketing strategy, branding, create value added services and associated collateral in cooperation with DOSM.
I will seek opportunities to upsell and develop initiatives to maximize business aligned with Six Senses standards and goals.
People Management
As Director of Residences, I am a responsive, engaged and interactive leader, capable of building strong positive relationships that results in a shared vision of success for the operation of the residences.
I am responsible for building relationship and developing the residences’ operations team through the provision of direction, delegation, interaction, encouragement and enthusiasm to build a loyal, productive and effective team.
Accountability
I possess a well-developed capability for strategic decision-making and a track record of proven results in the areas of property management, owner satisfaction, operational excellence, revenue and profit.
I am focused on raising the profile and market positioning of the residential properties and I respond quickly to changing market conditions and adjust the marketing strategy of the residential properties accordingly.
My financial acumen positions me as a business savvy leader with demonstrated financial understanding and interpretation of reports plus cost and inventory control.
I will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses Kaplankaya in terms of guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities and services.
In this role, I will behave in a professional manner always and set an example to all. I will abide by Six Senses principles, core values, best practices, guidelines and objectives, while respecting other cultures and nationalities and projecting a positive and proactive position to help build and maintain a strong, loyal team and brand.
Specific days and timing are based on business needs, seasonality and local labor laws. The role will also require standing and walking for extended periods of time.
I also recognize that the role is dynamic and may change to meet operational requirements. My performance is measured directly against these job responsibilities.
Skills and Experience
I have a minimum of 5 years operational experience in a senior management position in five-star residential and hotel properties.
I have excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong reading comprehension and competency in legal language. I have knowledge in legal and governance responsibilities.
Technical skills include Advanced MS Office, Opera, plus I am also familiar with various hotel systems and platforms, along with some knowledge of accounting software.
