Director of Recoveries

We are working with a prominent UK financial institution to identify a seasoned Director of Recoveries to lead their approach to high-risk and non-performing assets within the real estate finance portfolio. This pivotal role will play a crucial part in shaping the governance framework and recovery processes for distressed exposures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a robust governance framework to manage distressed and non-performing exposures.
• Lead debt recovery efforts for defaulted cases and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee the management of high-risk cases, working closely with clients to facilitate a return to performing status.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards for recovery and credit management.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders to minimize potential losses in the assigned portfolio.

Requirements:

• Extensive credit underwriting experience in the UK Real Estate Finance sector.
• Proven expertise in managing distressed or non-performing assets, with a strong knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to senior stakeholders concisely.
