Our client, a leading Food Technology Company is seeking a R & D Director.

The Director of R&D will be reporting to the VP of R&D (BU: External Services). This position is located in the San Francisco area.
You will be responsible for
?own the product development process and be the guardian for the advancement to each development phase
?be the subject matter expert for all product development ventures with 3rd party partners
?work side by side with all the company functions in order to drive the top line, the efficiencies as well as uniquity of all products
?work with suppliers, co-manufacturing partners and customers on the development of all product propositions
?ensure product superiority status across our competitors in the spaces where we operate
?be the subject matter expert for R&D NORAM and the balance of the geographies where they operate and/or has partnerships
?be responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining talent for the R&D BU team
?be accountable on working side by side with the machine learning team and the research team on all product development on improvement projects
Key Qualifications
?10 or more years of progressive R&D experience in plant-based food products including successful execution of plant-based food products
?Bachelor’s degree in food engineering, food science or a similar discipline; Master’s degree or MBA a plus
?experience in working with ingredient suppliers and co-manufacturers
Authorization to work in the US required.
