The Director of Quality plans, directs and manages the Quality discipline across Univar Solutions USA and Canada. The role develops and executes the strategy to drive the customer experience, comply with applicable regulations and standards, and supports commercial growth. The overall objective is to ensure compliance and quality customer support to assist in preserving and increasing Univar Solutions competitiveness. This position works collaboratively with Commercial, Field Operations, Transportation, Customer Solutions, and Planning to collectively support the strategic initiatives designed to improve quality performance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Implement the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with regulations, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
Facilitate external regulatory body audits.
Responsible for Quality policy and performance metrics.
Lead monthly global Quality meetings.
Provide leadership to Regional Quality Managers and internal professional staff in EHSQ and external functions. Collaborate with all affected areas of the organization to ensure continued compliance with regulations.
Accountable for customer complaint system including investigation, root cause and corrective and preventive actions.
Support management of change process.
Point person for Quality needs of key corporate accounts.
Drive continuous improvement in key Quality areas including on-time delivery, product and container quality, and customer responsiveness.
Support the investigation of mis-delivery incidents.
Ensure that laboratory testing procedures are fit for purpose.
Accountable for facility compliance with drug enforcement administration (DEA) licenses.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
4-year degree in physical science, Chemical Engineering, or related subject, and/or equivalent work experience
10+ years’ practical experience with Quality and regulatory compliance, preferably within the chemical, pharmaceutical or related industry
Demonstrated ability to lead program compliance and continuous development
Experience in managing direct reports including USA Regional Quality Manager and Center of Excellence personnel.
Maintain knowledge of all applicable corporate, federal, state and local regulatory and quality requirements. Stay abreast of developing regulatory requirements, particularly at the federal, state, and local level.

This is a hybrid position that can be based out of our offices in The Woodlands, TX, Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, or Morrisville, GA
