Type: Contract to Direct NOTE: Enser is an Engineering Services Company that provides Staffing Support. This position is not internal to Enser. Please No Agencies.

A well-established precision manufacturer in the aerospace and defense sector is seeking a Director of Quality to lead its quality management systems across casting, machining, and assembly operations. This leadership role is critical to ensuring compliance with industry regulations, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining the highest standards of quality in production. Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, and Nadcap standards.
Lead internal and external audits, customer quality interactions, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Oversee dimensional and metallurgical inspection processes, including CMM, GD&T, and non-destructive testing
Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (RCCM, 8D, CAPA).
Manage all First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP/APQP activities, including documentation under AS9012 and AS13002.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, supply chain) to improve process capability and product quality.
Analyze quality KPIs and initiate continuous improvement programs to reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
Mentor and develop a high-performing team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
Role is on-site and not eligible for remote work.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required; advanced degree a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive quality leadership experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing.
Extensive knowledge of quality standards and regulatory frameworks AS9100, ISO 9001, Nadcap, ITAR.
Experience managing audits and customer approvals (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed, Raytheon, Honeywell).
Strong background in metrology, GD&T, and non-destructive testing
Familiar with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and ERP systems.

Compensation: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
