About the location:
The sustainable luxury destination is located on a 60-acre (24 hectare) site along the pristine beachfront of Playa Esmeralda in northeastern Dominican Republic, along the southern shores of Samaná Bay. A site of breathtaking natural beauty, Tropicalia is home to a diverse ecosystem of white-sand beaches; crystalline, aquamarine water and coral reefs; mountains, forests, mangroves, lagoons and rivers; a working coconut plantation; and an organic farm.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of the pre-opening team at Four Seasons Dominican Republic at Tropicalia, the Director of Public Relations leads the development and execution of the property’s communications strategy. Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role drives on-brand storytelling across traditional, digital, and social channels—building awareness, elevating the resort’s image, and supporting revenue goals. Success is measured through impactful campaigns, strong media and social engagement, and the ability to leverage partnerships to bring the Tropicalia story to life.
Target start date for this role is August 1st, 2026.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Be a part of the pre-opening team.
This role helps build direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activated channels to the end of driving consumer awareness and preference, increasing market share, and building broader portfolio and brand awareness.
This role focuses on showcasing Food and Beverage promotions, both to hotel guests and to local patrons.
Fully connected into resources in their region; the Public Relations Manager liaise and build deep partnerships with their regional eCommerce and Marketing teams to verify ali local, social, and digital marketing efforts are effectively integrated with the selling efforts for the organization.
A little bit of everything, from balancing traditional and digital marketing and eCommerce activities to contributing to public relations activities for the hotel.
Be accountable in the event of any residential emergency or safety situation and comply with all local codes and ordinances with a focus on resident and employee safety.
Represent the interests of the Residences and of its personnel in a fair, impartial, and equitable manner.
Develop and implement the Annual Residential Marketing Plan.
WHAT YOU BRING
Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related major
At minimum 2 years experience in the sales, marketing, digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertising agency experience preferred.
Exceptional communication in both English and Spanish.
