At DCI Marketing, we design and build high-impact dealership environments (millwork, fixtures, graphics, digital displays, furniture, and full facility renovations) for the world’s top automotive brands. This role sits at the center of our sales and project teams:you’llcreateaccurate, competitive, and beautifully presented budgets and proposals that help us win automotive showroom projects.

WhatYou’llDo

Lead efforts of the production team whose responsibility is to outsource manufacturing of fixtures and printed materialsDepartment tasks include estimating, supplier selection, quality assurance, on-time delivery, and budget management for a variety of simple to complex projects

Responsibilities

Lead department to drive success on projectsWork closely with sales, design, project management, installation, logistics and client relations, assuring project budgets, schedules, and quality targets are achievedAct as a technical resource to team members, addressing and resolving inquiries and problemsProvide training within the companyMentor and develop department team members and manage employees.

Supplier Management

  • Maintain a supplier base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage, drives innovation, and meets the needs of DCI clients

  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with key suppliers

  • Review and assist in resolving any supplier grievances, claims, conflicts, or quality issues

Production and Estimating

  • Responsible for total cost, quality, warranty, and on-time delivery of all production projects

  • Estimating costs of fixtures and components Includes development costs, tooling, overhead, supplier costs, margins, packaging, quantities, etc.

  • Prepare final quotes from the data collected to meet the specified timeline and budget

Management

  • Serve as a technical resource on materials, estimates, scheduling, and production needs

  • Work closely with cross functional teams to assure timely project deliverables

  • Develop and track KPI’s, driving the team toward continuous improvement

  • Training, development of others, and leading and building strong stable teams

  • Directly manage the Manager of Graphic Production, and Director of Global Supply Chain(?)

  • Provide project support as needed

WhatYou’llNeed

  • 10+ years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing preferred

  • Knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing of retail fixtures and point of purchase displays

  • Effective communicator across multi-functional teams and suppliers

  • Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing processes, printing, and related materials

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ERP systems

  • Strong negotiation, written and oral communications skills

  • Passionate about work and success, energetic and engaging, assumes ownership of work

  • 10-20% travel may be required

  • Organized, detail orientated, good at follow-up

  • Effective problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated leadership skills across a wide spectrum of teams and situations

  • High aptitude for mentoring
