About the Role

TradeBeyond's product function is organised around Product Manager/VPs who own each module's commercial roadmap, ideation, and monetisation, and a Product Owner who executes that roadmap through solution design and launch. The Director, Product Strategy & Operations closes the gap between these roles by aligning priorities and roadmaps across modules and establishing the product management standards (documentation, release management, and reporting) the organisation currently lacks. Reporting to the CEO, this role works closely with the module Product Manager/VPs, the Product Owner, and cross-functional leaders across engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success. This role will manage the Technical Writer team who owns execution of the documentation standards described below.

Responsibilities:

  • Cross-Module Alignment: Coordinate and reconcile roadmaps across module Product Manager/VPs, resolving prioritisation conflicts and ensuring a coherent, company-wide product narrative.
  • Product Operations Standards: Establish consistent documentation templates, release management processes, and product development workflows across all modules, directing the Technical Writer's output to keep documentation current and standardised.
  • Governance & Cadence: Run cross-module planning and review cadences (e.g., roadmap reviews, release planning) to keep module teams synchronised.
  • Execution Oversight: Partner with the Product Owner to ensure execution, solution design, and launch activities stay aligned with cross-module priorities and standards.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Define a consistent KPI and reporting framework so product performance is measured consistently across modules.
  • Cost & ROI Discipline: Review and scrutinise product costing across modules, ensuring feature and roadmap investment decisions are backed by clear ROI justification and cost-to-serve is tracked consistently.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, professional services, marketing, and customer success to ensure customer feedback informs cross-module prioritisation.
  • Executive Partnership: Support the CEO in setting overall product vision and strategy, acting as the operational owner of company-wide product priorities.
  • Process Improvement: Close gaps in product management practices, including agile ceremonies, DevOps/CI-CD alignment, and tooling consistency.
  • Market & Competitive Awareness: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform cross-module prioritisation and identify emerging opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, including experience coordinating priorities across multiple product lines or teams and establishing product operations practices (documentation, release management, KPI frameworks).
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, enterprise software, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reconcile competing priorities across teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence module leaders, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies, DevOps, and continuous integration/deployment.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel.
