This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Product Marketing (SaaS) based in India.
This leadership role is focused on defining the market story and go-to-market strategy for an innovative AI-powered finance platform.
You will shape how enterprise finance teams understand, adopt, and scale governed AI solutions across critical workflows.
The position combines strategic product marketing leadership, market positioning, sales enablement, and customer insights.
You will work closely with product, sales, marketing, and executive teams to translate complex technology into clear business value.
The ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller with strong SaaS experience and a passion for emerging AI-driven solutions.

Accountabilities:
The Director of Product Marketing will own the product narrative, positioning, and go-to-market strategy while building the frameworks needed to drive adoption and revenue growth. This role requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, with responsibility for messaging, launches, enablement, content strategy, and team development.
- Define and own market positioning, messaging, and category narrative for an AI-native finance platform.
- Develop compelling value propositions that resonate with CFOs, Controllers, finance leaders, accounting teams, and other enterprise stakeholders.
- Establish differentiation against legacy finance solutions, AI assistants, and workflow automation platforms.
- Create consistent messaging across websites, sales materials, product launches, executive communications, and external engagements.
- Partner with Product, Sales, Demand Generation, and leadership teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
- Translate product roadmap initiatives into impactful campaigns, customer-facing narratives, and adoption strategies.
- Gather customer, competitive, and market insights to influence business and product decisions.
- Measure product marketing impact through pipeline influence, sales effectiveness, adoption metrics, and revenue outcomes.
- Lead content strategy across thought leadership, product content, customer stories, presentations, and launch materials.
- Build sales enablement resources including battlecards, discovery frameworks, demo narratives, and objection-handling materials.
- Conduct competitive analysis and identify market opportunities through win/loss insights.
- Engage directly with customers and prospects to validate positioning and improve messaging.
- Lead and develop Product Marketing and Content teams, establishing priorities, processes, and quality standards.
- Operate as a player-coach by combining strategic direction with hands-on execution.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B SaaS product marketing leader with a strong understanding of enterprise technology, complex sales cycles, and AI-driven innovation. They should have exceptional communication skills and the ability to simplify technical concepts into compelling business outcomes.
- 8–12+ years of experience in B2B SaaS Product Marketing, go-to-market strategy, or related roles.
- Proven experience leading positioning, messaging, product launches, and GTM initiatives for technical or enterprise products.
- Strong background in building and scaling Product Marketing and/or Content teams.
- Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to create clear narratives that align Sales, Product, Marketing, and executive stakeholders.
- Experience developing sales enablement materials such as battlecards, demo stories, discovery frameworks, and objection-handling guides.
- Experience marketing AI, analytics, workflow automation, fintech, ERP, or related technology products.
- Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value.
- Strong customer-centric mindset with experience engaging enterprise buyers and validating market messaging.
- Experience working directly with founders and senior leadership teams.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced startup environments.
- Active use of AI tools in daily workflows, with a strong understanding of AI-driven productivity opportunities.
- Portfolio of relevant work, including writing samples, product launches, presentations, or strategic marketing projects.
- Experience selling to finance, accounting, tax, audit, or compliance stakeholders is preferred.
- Experience in Series A–C startup environments is a plus.
- Availability to regularly overlap with U.S. Eastern Time, including working until approximately 3:00 AM IST.
