The Director of Process and Raw Material Optimization oversees the strategy and execution of raw material optimization across the organization. This role leads cross‑functional teams to improve the efficiency, profitability, and sustainability of raw material sourcing and utilization.

Salary scale 008: $153,700 to $192,100 (Base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and job‑related competencies.)
Your role in achieving results:
The Director of Process and Raw Material Optimization will be responsible for:
Co‑developing with the immediate manager and implementing a strategy for measuring and optimizing raw material yields.
Co‑developing with the immediate manager and implementing a strategy for weights and measures of finished and semi‑finished products to reduce losses.
Defining and implementing a process to set and prioritize the steps of the deployment plan and subsequently monitor execution.
In collaboration with Engineering and Technical Services, defining tools, measurement methods, and critical control points for each manufacturing process. Ensuring standardization across the cooperative.
In collaboration with Finance and IT, implementing a data collection and interpretation tool to identify sources of losses and yield variances.
In collaboration with Engineering and Procurement, preparing CapEx requests required for plant instrumentation.
Supporting the definition of required performance indicators and their measurement methods, contributing to dashboard development, determining review/discussion forums, and cascading this cadence across various teams.
Working directly with leaders to document planned changes, analyze inter‑departmental dependencies, and consolidate into a single change‑management plan.
Ensuring that change communications are effective, adapted, and consistent.
Establishing resource planning for ongoing projects.
Ensuring a high level of stakeholder satisfaction through timely and effective communication and proactive support.
Creating and promoting a positive work environment where people collaborate, feel collective accountability, and are recognized for their success.
What we are looking for to deliver these results:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering combined with expertise in project management.
MBA is an asset.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing cross‑functional teams.
Minimum of ten (10) years of cumulative business experience, including management, project management, or finance.
Experience in the CPG industry with exposure to a manufacturing environment.
Availability for regular travel within Canada and the United States (approximately 50% of the time).
Experience in change management and transition implementation.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English (English required to work with colleagues in other Canadian provinces).
