Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the cross-functional pricing governance process for all Consumer Banking products, including evaluating, managing, and implementing rate and pricing changes.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance a pricing framework that enables timely market assessments, effective stakeholder alignment, and seamless execution of pricing strategies.
  • Own the financial oversight of pricing decisions by partnering with Finance, Treasury, and Consumer Banking leadership to balance competitive positioning, growth objectives, and targeted profitability outcomes.
  • Drive initiatives to measure, analyze, and improve the profitability of the Consumer Banking product portfolio through data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Establish, document, and maintain formal pricing policies, procedures, and controls, including rate setting, pricing adjustments, exception management, and approval workflows.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to develop, evaluate, and gain approval for business cases supporting strategic pricing and product initiatives.
  • Partner with Consumer Banking leaders to assess existing pricing strategies, promotional offerings, and market conditions to identify opportunities that support business growth and enterprise objectives.
  • Support the product management organization in the development of business cases, financial forecasts, and post-implementation reviews to ensure strategic initiatives deliver expected performance and financial results.
  • Provide executive-level analysis and recommendations on pricing trends, market dynamics, competitive positioning, and portfolio performance.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk management standards related to pricing practices and consumer banking products.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting pricing recommendations and business cases to senior leadership and governance committees.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, risk management principles, and compliance requirements related to pricing and consumer banking products preferred.
  • Ability to develop and execute enterprise-wide pricing strategies that balance profitability, growth, and competitiveness.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business case development and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and gain alignment on strategic initiatives and pricing recommendations.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in banking, consumer product management, pricing, treasury, finance, profitability management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing pricing frameworks, governance processes, and profitability improvement strategies.
  • Strong understanding of Consumer Banking products, including deposits, lending products, fee structures, and promotional pricing strategies.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders across Consumer Banking, Finance, Treasury,
  • Risk, and Product Management to influence decision-making and drive business results.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects, developing business cases, and delivering strategic initiatives that support growth and profitability objectives.

Preferred Experience:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in Consumer Banking, Product Management, Pricing, Treasury, Finance, Strategy, or Profitability Management.

The Director of Pricing is responsible for leading the pricing strategy and governance framework for Consumer Banking products. This role partners closely with Consumer Banking, Finance, Treasury, Product Management, and Executive Leadership to optimize pricing decisions, drive profitability, support strategic growth initiatives, and maintain a competitive market position. The Director will leverage market intelligence, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure pricing strategies align with enterprise objectives and deliver sustainable financial performance.
