POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Partner Relations assures the development of relationships and resources that fund the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge USA. The role carries a personal portfolio of major donors and is responsible for opening new funding channels in the marketplace, among corporations and their foundations, and across churches nationally. This is a relationship-driven, travel-heavy role for someone who is energized by asking people to invest in changed lives. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Development strategy. Partner with the Chief Advancement Officer on major fundraising initiatives, and work alongside senior staff to build and carry out ATCUSA's annual fund development plan. Major donor portfolio. Carry and grow a portfolio of 60–100 major donors and qualified prospects, moving each relationship through a documented cycle of qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship against annual revenue goals. Personal solicitation. Conduct face-to-face visits, present funding proposals, and make direct asks for major and multi-year commitments, then steward each gift through reporting and ongoing contact. Corporate and marketplace giving. Open and grow funding relationships with corporations, Christian-owned businesses, and marketplace leaders, securing sponsorships, cause partnerships, matching gift and employee giving programs, and in-kind support. Church partnerships. Deepen relationships with existing church partners and cultivate new ones nationally, across denominations and non-denominational congregations, without limitation to a defined territory. Vision casting. Speak in churches, at conferences, and in business and civic gatherings, challenging people to join Adult & Teen Challenge's movement of putting hope within reach for every person struggling with addiction. Long-term investment. Share ATCUSA's vision and strategic projects in ways that move partners from one-time giving toward sustained, multi-year investment. Cultivation events. Work with other department leaders to plan and host events that advance relationships, including golf events, partner dinners, center tours, and marketplace gatherings. Records and reporting. Maintain accurate and current records of all major partner activity in the donor database; provide pipeline forecasts, statistical analysis, and progress reporting to the CAO and board as needed. Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE ​ Must be a person of spiritual maturity, in full agreement and alignment with ATCUSA mission, vision, and values Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred Five years of professional experience in a nonprofit organization with demonstrated success in a development function, managing and forging relationships across multiple funding sources Proven track record managing a major donor portfolio and personally soliciting and closing significant gifts Ability to travel up to 40% of the time, locally and nationally Director, Partner Relations • Page 3 of 3 Experience building corporate, marketplace, or foundation funding relationships, including sponsorships, grants, and partnership agreements Tangible experience expanding and cultivating existing partner relationships over time Confident and compelling public speaker, equally at home in a congregation, a boardroom, and on a conference platform Ability to construct, articulate, and implement an annual strategic development plan Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of partners and build long-term relationships Working proficiency with donor CRM systems, moves management, and pipeline reporting Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail Flexible and adaptable style; a leader who can positively impact both strategic and tactical fundraising initiatives A professional and resourceful style; able to work independently without close oversight while productively engaging others at varying levels of seniority within and outside ATCUSA Benefits Dental Insurance (Delta Dental): The employer covers 80% of the employee’s premium, including family coverage.
