Director of Paint & Fabrication
Springfield, OH | 1st Shift | $85K – $105K

A manufacturing organization is seeking a Director of Paint & Fabrication to lead multi-shift operations across paint processes (including load, e-coat, powder coating, and unload) and fabrication. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and developing teams to support both current production and future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead paint and fabrication operations across multiple shifts
• Develop long-term operational strategies and capacity plans
• Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics
• Oversee production efficiency, workflow, and equipment utilization
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support adoption of structured production systems and best practices
• Mentor and develop supervisors, managers, and technical staff
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, supply chain, and HR
• Manage budgets, capital planning, and resource allocation
• Support new product launches and process improvements

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing (paint, fabrication, or welding preferred)
• Experience with e-coating, powder coating, fabrication, or similar processes
• Strong background in high-volume production environments
• Proven success with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred
