
Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Director of Operations to organize and oversee the daily operations of our company. You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people. The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many different kinds of operational activities. Must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business. The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.
Responsibilities
* Select, train, cross train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, review, discipline & retain all field employees
* Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, reviewing job budgets with Business Development/Sales, Project Managers & Division Managers and report any budget irregularities to COO
* Review and understand company handbook; enforcing policies and procedures
* Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; identify trends
* Develop operations systems; enforce policies and procedures; develop processes for equipment utilization, internal trucking & personnel utilization
* Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
* Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
* Meet or exceed operations labor, equipment and material budget expectations
* Manage field staff levels, hours, budget labor to revenues
* Responsible for all division managers and their superintendents, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees
* Run a safe, injury/accident free field
* Responsible for all aspects of vehicle and heavy equipment rentals
* Manage relationships with key operations vendors/subcontractors
* Track vendor/subcontractor pricing and service levels
* Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to product quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on projects.
* Communicate customer issues with Division Manager team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
* Work closely with COO to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.
* Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at monthly Division Manager meetings and monthly Operations Meeting
* Work closely with the Equipment manager and shop to perform analysis of our equipment inventory and ensure we are utilizing our equipment inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining solid equipment inventory data and reduce sub-rental expenses
* Communicate with safety manager to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
