Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to oversee day-to-day operations across their fresh produce distribution center in South New Jersey. This role acts as the central coordinator between inventory, production, food safety, QA/QC, 3PL, sales, and shipping to ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment and optimal stock levels. The position reports directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations across inventory, production, food safety, QA/QC, 3PL, sales, and shipping
• Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately, on time, and to quality standards
• Monitor inventory levels and demand to prevent stockouts or overstock
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements
• Maintain accountability across departments with clear communication and follow-through
• Support scaling operations as volume grows

Minimum Qualifications

• Significant experience managing fresh produce operations, minimum 7 YOE, preferably 10+
• Strong understanding of inventory management and order fulfillment workflows
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external partners
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, perishable goods environment
• This position will be onsite full-time in New Jersey, Monday thru Friday with some occasional Saturdays as needed.

The base salary the company may reasonably expect to pay for this role is $140,000 to $170,000. The actual salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills and experience. The base salary range does not include other compensation elements, which will compose the total compensation package, or other benefits available to the position.
