Market Director of Operations
Coverage Area: S Alabama (Montgomery, Mobile, Grand Bay) and Georgia (Jackson, Albany, Tifton and Bremen)
Job Summary
The Market Director is a key operational leader responsible for the performance of a geographic network of BHG treatment centers. This role directly leads and develops Program Directors and, through those leaders, is accountable for the operational, clinical, financial, and team performance of each treatment center within the market.
This is an opportunity for an experienced multi-site healthcare leader who enjoys developing people, improving performance, solving complex operational challenges, and expanding access to high-quality patient care.
The Market Director is accountable for building a high-performing market that delivers exceptional patient care, operational excellence, strong leadership, and sustainable growth. The Market Director will also perform duties within the scope of their license or certification when applicable, as outlined in an addendum to this job description.
What You’ll Be Accountable For
As Market Director, you will:
- Build high-performing leaders and create a culture of accountability.
- Deliver strong operational execution and financial performance.
- Ensure outstanding patient outcomes and timely access to care.
- Maintain regulatory excellence and operational integrity.
- Drive sustainable growth through referrals and community engagement.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Leadership Development
- Mentor, coach, and develop high-performing Program Directors and other market leaders.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build an engaged, patient-centered culture across treatment centers.
- Strengthen team member retention and develop succession plans for key leadership roles.
- Identify and develop future leaders within the organization.
Clinical Excellence
Partner with the Group Vice President and clinical leadership to improve and optimize key areas of clinical performance, including:
- True Counseling.
- Time to First Dose.
- Dose Stabilization.
- Patient Retention.
- Regulatory readiness.
- Patient outcomes.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure consistent execution of the BHG operating model across treatment centers.
- Optimize patient access, admissions, and census growth.
- Improve operational efficiency and labor productivity.
- Identify and remove barriers impacting treatment center performance.
- Establish and reinforce best practices across the market.
- Use performance data to identify opportunities and drive meaningful improvement.
Patient Care & Clinical Excellence
- Improve patient outcomes and the overall patient experience.
- Increase patient satisfaction.
- Ensure timely access to treatment.
- Support clinical quality initiatives.
- Promote a culture where patient-centered care remains at the heart of operational decisions.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Maintain a strong culture of regulatory compliance and operational integrity.
- Ensure treatment centers are prepared for DEA, accreditation, and other regulatory inspections.
- Reinforce adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and minimize operational and compliance risks.
- Partner closely with Clinical and Regulatory leadership.
Workforce Excellence
Partner with Talent, Performance & Workforce Strategy to ensure:
- Appropriate staffing levels across the market.
- Effective onboarding of new team members and leaders.
- Ongoing leadership development.
- Strong employee engagement.
- Improved retention and workforce stability.

What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-site healthcare operations through transformational change and organizational growth.
- Experience managing treatment or healthcare services across economically and culturally diverse communities.
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry dynamics.
- An operational and clinical excellence mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
- Proven ability to inspire, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
- Ability to think strategically about growth while remaining highly engaged in day-to-day operational execution.
- Strong financial and P&L acumen.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships within treatment centers and across the broader organization and community.
- High integrity and sound judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
