Salary Range: $165,000.00 - $200,000.00 SalaryWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As the Director of Operations, you will lead all manufacturing and supply chain activities across a multi-plant campus in Lancaster, CA, including Wetcast, Drycast, and Mesh Reinforcing operations. This role provides both strategic and hands-on leadership across operations, maintenance, quality, safety, people development, and supply chain execution within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will serve as a leader of leaders, building strong teams, driving operational excellence, and scaling operations in a newly constructed facility. This role plays a critical part in aligning day-to-day execution with long-term business objectives while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
A highlight of your day-to-day will include:
- Leading and developing Plant Managers and functional leaders across multiple manufacturing operations
- Owning overall plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people metrics
- Spending meaningful time in the plants driving engagement, accountability, and operational discipline
- Driving standardization, best practices, and consistency across diverse manufacturing processes
- Partnering cross-functionally to align production capabilities with customer demand and business priorities
- Leading Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the campus
- Supporting strategic planning, capacity growth, and capital investment decisions
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 8–12 years of progressive operations leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Proven experience leading multi-plant or multi-process operations
- Strong people leader with experience managing managers and building leadership benches
- Demonstrated success driving operational excellence in complex, fast-paced environments
- Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, maintenance, quality systems, and supply chain integration
Additional skills and experience that are highly valued:
- Experience in building materials, concrete, precast, or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing
- Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field (MBA a plus)
- Strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution discipline
