The Director of Operations will oversee technical and various business operations across multiple entities (real estate development, property management, and financial services). This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of technical operations within an intricate and growing organization. The Director of Operations routinely collaborates with other departments to support the company's operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy & Process Improvement

  • Establish, standardize, and streamline operational processes across all affiliated companies (development, management, and financial entities).
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by driving technical initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and compliance while maintaining process excellence.
  • Develop and implement best practices for cross-company workflows and communication.
  • Ensure alignment of technical operations with the company's overall business objectives.

Insurance & Risk Management

  • Manage property, liability, and owners’ insurance programs across all entities.
  • Ensure adequate coverage, timely renewals, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Corporate Office Management

  • Oversee office management and administrative functions for all corporate locations.
  • Ensure facilities, resources, and support services meet operational needs.

Budgeting & Financial Oversight

  • Prepare and manage operating budgets for all corporate entities.
  • Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Collaborate with finance teams on forecasting and reporting.

Technology Leadership

  • Oversee IT strategy, infrastructure, and cybersecurity initiatives; partnering proactively with IT leadership and staff.

Performance & Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate operational and technology risks.
  • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure the best terms and conditions for the company.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their technical needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Team Leadership

  • Manage a small but high-performing operations team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Partnership

  • Act as a key advisor to the COO/President on operational and technology matters.
  • Support integration of new acquisitions or developments into existing operational frameworks.



Qualifications



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, Information Technology, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or MS) preferred, especially with a focus on operations, real estate, or technology management.
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations within real estate development, property management, or financial services.
  • Proven track record of:
    • Establishing and streamlining operational processes across multiple entities.
    • Managing corporate budgets and financial oversight.
    • Overseeing IT strategy and systems implementation.
    • Handling property, liability, and owners’ insurance programs.
  • Proven experience in project management, leading teams, process improvement, strong analytical and planning skills etc.
  • Experience managing multi-location corporate offices and administrative functions.
  • Strong background in process improvement methodologies
  • Vendor and contract management experience for technology, office management and insurance.
  • Leadership experience building and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
