Key Responsibilities:
Cultivate-leadtheresident care team, providingday-to-dayguidanceand fosteringa
positive work environmentthat encourages collaboration,accountability, driveshigh
performance and ensures retention by deliveringan exceptionalemployee experience.

Train-Ensure that all care staff receivethe educationrequired for the effective
performance of their rolesand promoting professional development

Financial stewardship-Manage the care staff complement consistent with the
Fj Davey Home's model of care that meets the provincial/legislated hours of care Oversee
thefinancialmanagement, includingassisting with budget preparation and variance
analysisof the nursing department

Comply-Monitor and ensure compliance withallhealthcare regulations, licensing
requirements, accreditation standardsand labour and employment standards, including
timely investigationsand consistent action planning
The Director of Nursing will be flexible with hours of work which may include evenings and weekends and will also be in the manager on call rotation.
Risk Management-Identify and manage resident issues as they arise, and ensure
clinical risks are mitigated and immediate action taken on critical incidents in keeping
with regulatory requirements.

Customer Service-Byemploying the customer service mindset, accept and respond
to feedback (complaints, recognition or suggestions) fromresidents, families,
vendors and team members with acknowledgement and empathy.

ResidentCare-Overseeresidentassessment and care planning processes, ensuring
personalized care plans are developed andimplementedbased on resident
preferences

Collaborate-Participate actively and collaborate withthe leadershipteamand liaise
with care staff, residents and familiestodeliverand optimizeresidentcare.

Improve-Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhanceresidentsafety,
wellnessand satisfaction, because we are relentless in our efforts to improve.

Strategicplanningin support of the homelevel strategic priorities, develop the
operational planswith respect toclinical operations andstaffing,which support and
enhance resident care.

Community partnership-engage with vendors onquality initiatives and training
requirements, collaborate with communityhealthpartnersfor the betterment of
resident care

Values Alignment-Uphold and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision and Values
and philosophy regarding ethics, morality, and integrity

Qualifications:
Registered Nurse Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing;
Current and unrestricted registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse with the applicable
Provincial licensing body is required.

Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience,in addition toat least 2 years in a
leadership role in a long-term care facilityor other health facility

Workingknowledge oflong-term careregulations, standards, and best practices.
Demonstrated expertise inleadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and build positive
relationships.

Proven track record of implementing quality improvement initiatives and achieving
positiveresidentoutcomes.

Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and otherrelevant technology

Salary Range $100,000.00 to $115,000.00 annually
