Summary
Responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, and policy development while ensuring compliance with regulations and high-quality, safe patient care and quality oversight for the Primary Care and Palliative Care Service Lines.
Essential Functions
- Assumes responsibility for the effective and efficient clinical operations of VIA Health Partners.
- - Ensures a high standard of care that is consistent with each profession represented at VIA Health Partners.
- - Monitors for appropriate staffing levels and makes adjustments as needed based on needs per each operation/practice site.
- - Facilitates quality management activities by assuring clinical staff participation and VIA Health Partners representation on performance improvement activities.
- - Presents to the AVP ongoing plans for improved efficiency and effectiveness of primary and palliative nursing services provided by VIA Health Partners.
- - Responsible for recommending and implementing approved clinical policies and procedures.
- - Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with other providers, patients/families and others who impact the services offered by VIA Health Partners.
- Operational leadership
- - Manage daily operations, set departmental goals, and establish standard-of-care guidelines.
- Provides supervision and direction for staff including the RNs, LPNs, NAs and ancillary staff
- - Participates in the hiring of clinical staff.  Ensures appropriate orientation, evaluation, coaching, and development of staff.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for each practice site/clinical operation.
- - Assures implementation of and compliance with all clinical policies and procedures, licensing and certification rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- - Adheres to all policies, procedures, and regulations regarding patient care, conduct, safety, fire, security, and risk management.
- Assumes responsibility for VIA Health Partners clinical operations and capital budget development, implementation, and modification.
- - Ensures billing for clinical services is accurate and timely.
- May perform other duties as required.
- - Cleans patient rooms as required per patient room cleaning procedure.  Ensures all areas of practice sites are clean and appropriately stocked with supplies.  Keeps the family room clean throughout the day.  Ensures proper chemicals are used for cleaning different surfaces.  Ensures protective equipment is used when working with chemicals, i.e., gloves, glasses, etc.

QualificationsMinimum

Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s degree in nursing strongly preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse license in NC/SC required.
- Minimum 3 years related experience required with increasing management responsibilities.  Preferred experience includes home health/hospice, oncology, palliative and/or primary care.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required.
